Roc Nation management, which is the home of the likes of Rihanna, Meek Mill, Kanye West, and more, has already removed Wale from their list of artists represented on their website.
Wale will reportedly be signing on with 77 Management Group going forward, which is run by Leonard Brooks, Rich Paul, and Maverick Carter, and is also the firm that handles the majority of LeBron James’ management affairs. As of right now it isn’t known what this means for Wale’s upcoming album, An Album About Nothing, which he is planning on dropping this fall.
Stevie claims his co-star, Althea Eaton, made up the story about Joseline smoking crack cocaine before attacking her last month at the reunion show. Althea is suing Joseline for assaulting her.
Stevie tells TMZ … the suit is BS because Althea and her husband, Benzino started the fight by talking crap in the first place. He claims Althea’s lawsuit is a smokescreen … to hide the fact Benzino slugged Joseline during the tussle.
Stevie says he and Joseline have lawyered up … and plan to countersue because “no grown man should hit a woman.”
We called Benzino who told us, “It’s clear that him and his whore jumped off the couch and attacked us and whatever happened from there was merely self-defense.
Details of Nasty Nas’ involvement and other high-profile investors like Super Bowl-winning quarterback Peyton Manning has surfaced this week.
Concert ticket search engine SeatGeek announced on Thursday that it has raised $35 million in a series B round of funding led by Accel Partners. Other investors in the round include rapper Nas, NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning and Causeway Media Partners, a sports investment fund led by Boston Celtics CEO Wyc Grousbeck. The company plans to use the money to help hire new talent and expand on its products and marketing, with a particular focus on mobile. (Billboard)
A few months ago, the rap veteran teamed up with a technology company.
Tech has a serious diversity problem — so General Assembly (GA), the New York City private vocational school for programming and engineering, is now opening an “Opportunity Fund” to give scholarships to women, veterans, African-Americans and Latinos. The first contributors to the fund are Google, Microsoft, Hirepurpose and Nas. Yes, rapper and recording artist Nas, the man who brought us “Illmatic.” The partnership with Nas began when he met GA cofounder Matt Brimer at SXSW, but Nas isn’t the only media figure to approach GA about these kinds of programs. This was Karrueche’s first time hosting on live television. Although she had been rehearsing the script for days, there was a script change ten minutes before showtime to add coverage of the VMAs and the Mike Brown Memorial. Karrueche had not reviewed the revised script until she read it on the teleprompter.
Karrueche is taking full responsibility for the comment but wants it clear that she would not mock a child, “I am a huge Beyonce fan and I love Blue Ivy. I apologize for the comment and wish I had a chance to review the revised script so that I could have avoided participating in that segment.”
Karrueche admires girls and women who wear natural hair, “I love that Blue is able to wear her natural hair. I laugh when I am nervous and when I registered what I had just said, I of course was taken aback.”
It’s time! Just weeks after Apollo Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison for his fraud case, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has been ordered to report to federal prison on September 10.
According to court documents obtained by Radar, Phaedra Parks’ husband must surrender himself at the FMC Lexington prison in Lexington, Kentucky, on September 10 at noon.
Though he originally faced up to 30 years in prison, Nida was sentenced to just eight years for fraud and identity theft back in July. He also must pay nearly $2 million in restitution.
This is not his first time behind bars: He previously served six years for a car theft scheme.
Suge’s rep tells TMZ … the music mogul left Cedars-Sinai around 6 AM, and doctors say he won’t need any rehab — just a few follow up visits.
As we previously reported … Suge got blasted Saturday night at 1Oak nightclub at a Chris Brown hosted event — but he’s refusing to cooperate with the police investigation.
We’re told Suge is already back on a regular diet, and if he keeps his bandages clean … he’ll be good to go.
They all were taken into custody and charged with felony possession of the weapon because none of them would give up any information as to who was the true owner of the gun. Unfortunately for two of the men arrested with Jeezy, they’ve been hit with 2 additional charges because they are already convicted felons.
The initial investigation which led to the discovery of the weapon was launched after 38-year-old concert promoter Eric Johnson was shot and killed backstage at a recent Wiz Khalifa Under The Influence Tour show.
He gave his Twitter followers a heads up yesterday that he’d be turning himself in, dropping a few tongue-in-cheek lines before the big moment, and even starting his own #FreeBudden campaign.
Now, according to multiple reports, 106 and Park are off the air for the rest of the week and writers and producers associated with the joke have been fired.
BET exec Stephen Hill also issued an apology on Twitter.
The man who shot Suge Knight and 2 others at a pre-VMA party early Sunday is on tape clear as Knight — problem is … so far the eyewitnesses are clamming up.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … 1Oak has a sophisticated surveillance system that covers almost the entire club, and at least one of the cameras clearly shows the gunman firing the shots. We’re told the shooter’s facial features are clear enough to make out.
As TMZ first reported … cops are zeroing in on gang rivalry as a motive. Suge and Chris Brown — who were inside the club — make no secret of their Bloods affiliation. The Game — who was denied entry — also wears his Bloods affiliation on his sleeve.
We’re told none of the witnesses want to be the person who fingers the gunman — for obvious reasons.
Dame didn’t turn a blind eye to Jim’s message, and instead of meeting him with animosity, the music mogul said that he still has love for the Dipset rapper.
“I’m not sure what exactly would make @jimjonescapo disrespect me publicly or any kind of way but if it’s over money or Business i really don’t think that’s the most productive way to deal with things…but I’m always open for discussion as long as we speak as men… I would never be ignorant enough to get on some tuff sh*t… That’s what’s killing our culture… I have nothing but love for you despite your disrespect…we are all kind of used to the way you react in the moment but it’s just not positive or productive for the culture….let’s lead by example…we can’t be fighting each other it makes us all look dumb harlem does stick together we never fight each other… Please don’t try to make a positive thing look negative….if you have a real issue we can talk about it…my daughter is on this Instagram…. And I love your family my n*gga… Let’s hug it up…. We dont need to be fighting #harlemstickstogether.”
Cops are focusing on beef between gang members that triggered the nightclub shooting that landed Suge Knight in an ICU with multiple bullet wounds … law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
We’re told cops are interested in a common denominator with Chris Brown, Suge and Game — Bloods affiliation.
Eyewitnesses tell us Brown was throwing up gang signs before the shooting inside 1OAK early Sunday and he was performing with a red bandana — the Bloods’ moniker.
Game — who got in a fight outside 1OAK before the shooting because they wouldn’t let him in — is a known and proud member of the Bloods. His album is called Blood Money.
As for Suge … one of the most notorious things about him is his Bloods affiliation.
And we know … cops are interested in this — there were several known gang bangers surrounding Chris at the time of the shooting.
This could all be problematic for Brown …. He’s still on probation in the Rihanna beating case, and hanging with gang members and throwing gang signs is not going to impress the judge. Suge is out of surgery … according to family sources. We’re told Suge was shot 6 times. He’s currently in ICU, but is expected to recover.
MediaTakeOut.com spies were IN THE BUILDING Saturday night at the 1Oak party and it was A MOVIE. Tons of celebs, and beautiful people too. But it all went SOUTH when a group of men tried to MURDER CHRIS BROWN!!!
You see, ever since Chris Brown got OUT OF REHAB – he’s changed his lifestyle and his circle of friends. Our snitch explains, “Chris used to run with a bunch of gang bangers who were really scary. When he got out [of rehab], he cut them all off. I guess they’re UPSET about that.”
The inside snitch tells us that Chris was being THREATENED by his ex-homies . . . and they have been trying to EXTORT MONEY out of him for weeks. Well last night when Chris was at the VMAs it all came to a head. MediaTakeOut.com explained, “It was [Chris Brown's former homies] shooting. And they were trying to hit Chris.”
Three years ago, video vixen Esther Baxter accused Budden of using physical violence on her.
“AND!??? NEVER denied being pregnant TWICE!! but that was months ago…you KNOW what happened to our daughter don’t you!!?? @JoeBudden,” Baxter tweeted May 3, 2011.
“Oh I have pics to…but then they would prove you’re a murder & a wife beater!! wouldn’t they!??? @JoeBudden lets ask the courts shall we!??”
“Documented proof speaks volumes!!! You can put out pics of me naked!! But I have pics of abuse and death!!! Try me!! @JoeBudden”

A year prior, Joe’s ex-wifey Tahiry Jose said he hurt her during their long relationship together.
“I just want you guys to know this is very, very difficult to address, discuss, even talk about and sometimes think about it,” Tahiry said in a statement. “I’ve avoided to for months — the fact that he’s not telling the truth after rapping about it to me is just completely disgusting. I’ll just let you guys know that if he had never publicly discussed our break-up, I wouldn’t have neither. Let alone the fact he put his hands on me — it’s his choice to discuss it however he wants it, even if it’s to the world, he’s free to handle it the way he wants to handle it…The day I heard his ['Downfall'] song was the day I was having my tattoo party which is why I chose to address it the way I did…I left and will never go back because he put his hands on me…Nobody should ever allow or accept anybody to put their hands on them. So I wish it all would end…” (This Is 50)
Nick has made it clear to all involved … he’s deeply concerned about Mariah’s emotional state and is ending the marriage for the well being of their kids. He believes the environment around Mariah is toxic and fears for his kids.
We’re told Nick believes his kids have already shown signs of emotional upset living with Mariah.
Our sources say Nick’s MO is simple … he wants to create an environment separate from Mariah that gives the kids a safe haven from the “chaos” at her home.
Nick is also telling his people he’s deeply concerned about Mariah’s mental health and believes her people don’t care about anything but her ability to make money and pay their salaries.
And finally we’re told Nick is taking a “passive” role in the divorce … telling his lawyers to take the path of least resistance to end things as peacefully as possible.

According to reports, Nike has a few days to determine if it’ll meet a deal worth nearly $300 million for the NBA superstar.
An interesting two-on-one is shaping up in the basketball sneaker game: Jay-Z and Kevin Durant vs. Nike (NKE). Durant, who is represented by Mr. Z’s Roc Nation, has given Nike until Wednesday to match a 10-year sponsorship offer from Under Armour (UA), according to ESPN. The deal is worth between $265 million and $285 million. (Business Week)
Buzz about KD possibly landing a deal for ten years worth up to $285 million surfaced this week.
The deal includes Under Armour stock and other incentives, such a community center built in his mother’s name, whose exact worth will not be known for some time. Nike, which saw its signature business related to the Oklahoma City Thunder forward grow to roughly $175 million at retail last season, will have the right to match, which is a condition of Durant’s current contract with the brand. Durant can still choose Nike if it doesn’t match but can’t legally choose Under Armour if Nike does. (ESPN)
Young Hov was reportedly concerned with looking out for his Roc Nation client’s interest and suggested he bail out on Team USA.
Team USA is only the latest entity to be left with a sour taste after dealing with Durant and his latest agent. The folks at Nike aren’t exactly happy. The folks at Gatorade already were unhappy. “It’s like Jay-Z is determined to do a scorched earth negotiation with everyone Kevin Durant is currently aligned with, and they aren’t doing him any favors,” one source close to Durant told SheridanHoops on Friday as Team USA prepared for its first exhibition game in preparation for the 2014 World Cup. Budden dished out more details of the headline-generating story and proclaimed his innocence.
“I don’t take this lightly, but I do find it funny seeing as how IM THE CALMEST N*GGA IN THE WORLD !! Smh,” Budden tweeted Friday (August 22) evening.
“Also, if I did half of what’s alleged, a pic of her face would be out, not her leg.. This is simple logic here.”
“Logic typically clears up a lot of sh*t by the way.”
“I’ll have my day in court… f*ck it.”
“I did have a nice convo w @TMZ earlier about journalistic integrity, boy was that funny/stupid. Lol”
“Cops searched my house today cuz shorty told them I had guns here.. He said “wanna tell me why u have a bullet proof vest?”.. Lmao/smh”
“The lesson to be learned here is.. Leave the strippers & bartenders in the strip club… sounds so simple !” (Joe Budden’s Twitter)
