TV Series About The Creation Of Twitter In Development

Move over The Social Network there is a new Silicon Valley book to movie adaptation that is coming to town. Lionsgate has announced today that they will option the rights to Nick Bilton’s "Hatching Twitter: A True Story of Money, Power, Friendship and Betrayal."

 

Author Nick Bilton will serve as the writer/producer of Hatching Twitter while Allison Shearmur will serve as the executive producer of the show.

Allison Shearmur tells Variety that, “Hatching Twitter will go behind the scenes of a groundbreaking Silicon Valley company in a way that’s never been captured before on television. The Social Network was a perfect film, and this series will be different, providing a longer view of the work life changes, gamesmanship and personal sacrifices made by a group of individuals who are building a company that will change the way that people communicate.”

For now you can still see the little blue bird on your smartphone, tablet or computer, but have no fear, the bird will be joining you on your small screen in the near future.
