Common Returns To Breakfast Club (Video)

 

Common returned to the Breakfast Club yesterday to plug his album, Nobody’s Smiling. He spoke contribution to end the violence in Chicago, pas relationship with Serena Williams, feud and reconciling with Drake, signing to Def Jam, advice he shares with Kanye and more.

 



Common Signs To Def Jam

 

Common has a new home. In preparation of his new album Nobody’s Smiling, the Chicago MC has signed to No I.D.’s Def Jam based label, Artium. Back in 2011, No I.D. was appointed to EVP of A&R. He will also serve as the LP’s executive producer. Album drops July 22.

Common appeared on ESPN’s “Outside The Lines” last night. While having the floor, he spoke on the N-word in the black community and his take on raising ethnic awareness about the use of the word.



Common Announces New Album, ‘Nobody Smiling’ (Video) + New Music: "War"

 

In a recent sitdown with RevoltTV, Common announced plans for his next album. Titled Nobody Smiling, the effort follows up 2011’s The Dreamer/The Believer. Much like his previous releases, including Resurrection, a lot of the music will be crafted with NO I.D. Nobody Smiling will also mark the 20th anniversary of that classic 1994 album.
