ABC Orders Less ‘SCANDAL’ Episodes To Hide Kerry Washington’s Pregnancy

'Gladiators In Suits' won’t be pleased with this one. According to Deadline, there will be less episodes than originally planned for ABC’s hit show, ‘Scandal‘. Reportedly, the network has reduced the order for the episodes from 22 to 18 episodes.

So the big question is why? The network wouldn’t give a reason but it’s being SPECULATED that it’s becoming a challenge for the gang to hide Kerry Washington’s pregnancy bump, since she plays the lead role of ‘Olivia Pope’.

To date, Kerry nor her hubby Nnamdi Asomugha have yet to confirm the pregnancy. In fact, Kerry’s been uber private about her personal life. After news hit that she was secretly married earlier this year, she told Glamour:

I’m walking around in the world with my ring. And when people say congratulations, I say thank you, but I’m going to continue to not talk about it and just let it unfold.
Pregnancy speculation began in September when she rocked a long-flowing, loose fitting gown to the Emmy’s. She’s continued to make appearances, along with a hosting gig on Saturday Night Live (SNL).

Congrats goes out to Kerry Washington. The Scandal star, 36, is expecting her first child with her husband of four months, NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha of the San Fransico 49ers.

We told you first that we thought Kerry was pregnant when she was glowing at the Emmys in Sept., wearing an empire-waisted gown that hid her tiny figure.
“She’s about four months along,” US Weekly reported on Oct. 30.

The Emmy-nominated actress tied the knot with Nnamdi, who plays for the San Francisco 49ers, on June 24 in Idaho. This will be the first child for the couple.
Kerry has done a good job of trying to conceal her bump — up until this exciting announcement!

Kerry kept us on baby bump watch with her uncharacteristic tummy-hiding fashion choices! Kerry usually shows off her fit, petite body in curve-hugging outfits, but she has been sporting loose-fitting, figure-hiding styles for several months.

She sported a bulky, draped dress on The Daily Show on Oct. 3 which hid her shape but drew all the attention to her belly. At her Oct. 2 Scandal premiere, she wore an oversized Little House on the Prairie-inspired gown that hid her entire body!
