LaVar told 11 Alive he was repeatedly struck by the Next Friday star and two other men after Mike took offense to an Instagram video.
The video made fun of the long running feud between the famous comedian and fellow funnyman Kevin Hart – a supporter of the up and coming local.
Playing both Kevin and Mike, the clip insinuates Mike is a drug user while also mocking Kevin’s notoriously short stature in the video, which he posted last month.
According to LaVar, Mike – who was in town filming Starz TV comedy Survivor’s Remorse – tracked him down and requested the up and coming comic come talk to him following his set.
LaVar told 11 Alive: ‘Going out to meet him, he struck me and he struck me, and two other guys he had with him stuck me, and they hospitalized me and they beat me all over a joke.’
