For the record, the ring Wade gave to Gabrielle Union was ONLY 8.5 carats ... but size doesn't really matter, right???

Evelyn has been married before -- she tied the knot with Chad Johnson back in 2012 ... but divorced him later that year after the NFL star headbutted her during an argument. Before Johnson, she was engaged to NBA star Antoine Walker (but they never married).

49ers & Candlestick Park Get Epic Send Off (Video)

What a way for the San Francisco 49ers’ to close out Candlestick Park. Last night the 49ers’ took on the Atlanta Falcons in the last game at Candlestick Park on Monday Night Football. The 49ers’ will be moving to their new stadium, Levi’s Stadium at the beginning of next season.

 

In one emphatic finish, NaVorro Bowman, Colin Kaepernick and the Niners sealed their postseason berth in a ceremonious regular-season farewell for Candlestick Park.

 

Bowman returned an interception 89 yards for a touchdown with 1:10 remaining, and the 49ers clinched a playoff spot with a wild 34-24 victory against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night in the likely final game at The Stick.

 

"That's been the best thing I've ever seen happen in a football game," coach Jim Harbaugh said. "Might've been close to 'The Catch.' "

Tramaine Brock broke up a pass intended for Harry Douglas and Bowman got his hands on the ball and took off. He was joined in the end zone by his teammates for a jubilant dog pile.

 

"I always say a lot of plays are made when you run to the ball," Bowman said. "That's all I was doing was just running to the ball, trying to make a tackle, and it popped up and I was able to make a play for my team."

Matt Ryan threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Roddy White with 8:34 remaining and a 2-yard score to Tony Gonzalez with 2:09 left as the Falcons (4-11) made things interesting until the end.

 

Atlanta's Jason Snelling recovered the ensuing onside kick as the Falcons got the ball back and were driving for a potential go-ahead score when San Francisco (11-4) capitalized with one of its biggest takeaways yet.

"When we got the onside kick at the end, we had a great opportunity to win but it wasn't meant to be," Ryan said. "Sometimes the ball bounces in the other direction. That's been the case for us."

Kaepernick ran for a 4-yard touchdown and threw a 10-yard TD pass to Anquan Boldin, and Frank Gore scored on a 1-yard touchdown run as the 49ers used a big second half to clinch a third straight playoff season and fifth consecutive victory. They put up 169 yards in the third quarter after managing just 113 in the first half as the sellout crowd fell momentarily quiet.

 

San Francisco still has a slim chance at winning a third consecutive NFC West crown and earning a first-round bye if St. Louis wins at Seattle and the 49ers beat Arizona on the road. They can win the NFC's top seed with the same scenario, plus a Carolina loss at Atlanta.

During an evening of fanfare and famous faces for Candlestick's ceremonious farewell, Kaepernick took charge as his team made good on Harbaugh's mantra for the week: "We don't want to be the guys who screw up the final game in Candlestick."
"Best birthday present I've ever gotten, second only to being born," quipped Harbaugh on his 50th birthday. "That was awesome."

Boldin had a 10-yard touchdown catch that tied it at 10 with 12:03 left in the third, and Kaepernick ran for a score early in the fourth.

This rematch of the NFC Championship game featuring teams headed in opposite directions was another thriller. The 49ers won 28-24 last January in Atlanta to return to the Super Bowl for the first time in 18 years.

Boldin caught six passes for 72 yards and went over 1,000 yards receiving for the sixth time in his career and first since 2009. Kaepernick was 13 for 21 for 197 yards.
With the future of the 49ers on display, there were plenty of glimpses to the past -- and five Super Bowl titles.

"There's a lot of history in this stadium," Bowman said. "For this to be the last game, we cannot leave it with an L. So I'm glad we got the W."

Joe Montana's winning touchdown pass to Dwight Clark -- dubbed "The Catch" -- was celebrated at halftime as the No. 1 moment during a top-10 countdown during each home game this year. The special spot in the right corner of the north end zone was marked with a gold dot. That victory in the NFC Championship game after the 1981 season sent San Francisco to its first Super Bowl title.

 

The 49ers are set to move into $1.2 billion Levi's Stadium at team headquarters in Santa Clara while Candlestick waits out its implosion day.

White had 12 catches for 141 yards and retiring Falcons tight end Gonzalez eight for 63 yards in his final game back in the Bay Area, where he starred collegiately at California. Ryan wound up 37 for 48 for 348 yards but his late mistakes were costly as has been the case in a 1-7 road showing.

Hall of Famers Steve Young and Jerry Rice played catch on the field before the game, and two baseball greats with their own Hall of Fame distinction -- Willie Mays and Willie McCovey -- were on hand and waved to cheering fans.

Breaking: Cowboys QB Tony Romo OUT For The Year

Dallas Cowboys fans who have complained about quarterback Tony Romo are about to find out how bad it might get without him.

 

 

Romo aggravated a prior back injury against Washington and that injury will keep him from playing against Philadelphia in the Cowboys regular season finale on Sunday, according to multiple reports.  

Romo's injury is a hernitated disc that will require surgery, according to ESPN.com.
A high-ranking Cowboys official told CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora that "It's looking that way" as far as Romo being out for the Eagles game. However, the team hasn't made a final determination. La Canfora also reported that surgery on the herniated disc may be inevitable, but there's no date set and the Cowboys will explore every option in terms of Romo playing.  

As far as coach Jason Garrett is concerned, Romo is day-to-day, "He's going to get treatment each day and we'll evaluate it on a day-by-day basis and see what his status is for Wednesday and this coming week," Garrett said at his press conference on Monday. Garrett's press conference was delayed almost 30 minutes as news of a possible Romo injury began to emerge.  

Garrett also refused to rule Romo out for Sunday's game against Philadelphia, "We have not made that determination," Garrett said of Romo's playing status. "Like with any player the day after the game, we just want to see what the injury is." 

However, Garrett did concede that the Cowboys would have to add another quarterback. Besides Romo, backup Kyle Orton is the only other quartback on the Cowboys roster.
Romo acknowledged that he injured the back against the Redskins, but he said it was just a 'tweak.' "I tweaked it in the game and then for whatever reason then, the twist or whatever it was, definitely just made it not feel comfortable," Romo said on Sunday.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones also commented on Romo's back injury on Sunday, saying that the back injury was anything new and that Romo had actually aggravated a prior injury.  

Romo threw a 10-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-goal with under 90 seconds left against the Redskins on Sunday to give the Cowboys a dramatic win and keep their playoff hopes alive. The Dallas win setup a Week 17 showdown against Philadelphia in a de facto NFC East championship game. 

The winner of Sunday night's game will win the division title and head for the playoffs. The loser will be done until September 2014.
With Romo most likely out, that means Orton will get the start for the Cowboys. "If Tony can't play, lets stick Kyle in there and go forward," Garrett said of his backup quarterback.
 

Orton has only thrown five passes this season and hasn't started a game since 2011. Coincidentally, Orton's last game as a starter also came in a regular season finale. In the final week of the 2011 season, Orton led the Chiefs to a 7-3 win over the Broncos.
Since Romo became the Cowboys full-time starter in 2006, Dallas is 6-7 in games that he didn't play in.  

The Cowboys will also be without linebacker Sean Lee, who will miss his second straight game with a neck injury.

‘Fast & Furious 7′ Gets A New Release Date

 

After much discussion and speculation on the future of Fast & Furious 7, Vin Diesel took to his Facebook page to provide an update on the beloved racing phenomenon. Originally slated for an ambitious 2014 summer release date, Diesel announced that the new date will be April 10, 2015. While sharing the news, Vin touched on the last scene that he and the late-Paul Walker completed and how they both felt a sense of accomplishment.

Production of Fast & Furious 7 came to a halt after the tragic death of Paul Walker on November 30th. Since then, the Fast & Furious universe has shown their support to the fallen star who left behind an impressive legacy, not only with his fims but his charity work.

Details are still unclear about how they will go forward with Paul’s character but there have been numerous reports about having Paul’s brother, Cody Walker, step in. Cody works as a film stuntman and is considered to be an ideal fit to complete the movie. They would ultimately use him for long distant and action sequences and provide CGI for any close up scenes.

Birdman Looking To Follow Jay Z’s ‘Roc Nation Sports’ Footsteps

Head of Cash Money Records, Birdman, has reportedly been looking into expanding his business empire by following Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports footsteps and start his own sports agency.

 

Cash Money Records may be getting into the sports game. The famed record label—home to Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj, to name a few—has filed a legal request to trademark the name Visionaire Sports Group, according to government records obtained by XXL. The label has expanded since its inception in 1991 to include a management company, Young Money (helmed by Weezy), a publishing arm, Cash Money Content, and its Trukfit clothing line. With Master P’s No Limit in 1998 and Roc Nation—under the direction of Jay Z—having established sports management and agency companies, YMCMB head honchos Birdman and Slim are setting themselves up to follow in their footsteps.
 
The trademark request filed October 25 covers the following: “Sports agency services, namely, management, representation and promotion of professional athletes; promoting sports competitions and/or events of others; promoting the goods and services of others by arranging for sponsors to affiliate their goods and services with athletes; talent agencies; arranging personal appearances by persons working in the field of sport; business management of sports people; talent recruiting services in the field of sports; talent management services for professional athletes; career management services for persons employed in the sports industries.” The trademark is listed as owned by Cash Money Records, Inc., under the care of law firm Pryor Cashman LLP.
 
However, just because Cash Money now owns the Visionaire Sports Group name does not necessarily mean that the label will get into the sports world, but merely holds the trademark in reserve for a period until the company decides to act upon it. According to a source, the documents indicate that Cash Money has the intent to use the name, but probably has not yet done so; before the trademark comes into effect Cash Money will have to provide proof that they are using it in the way intended, a step that, after extensions and deadlines are spent, means Cash Money could delay their foray into the sports world by around three years if they so wished. After that period, if the label has not kickstarted Visionaire, the application will expire.
 
Birdman has tried his hand at expanding into other fields in the past; in 2010, Cash Money formed an oil company called Bronald Oil, prompting Birdman to get an oil rig tattooed on his face. The company never materialized, however. Bloomberg questioned the company’s authenticity after Birdman spoke about being in the oil business to Ozone magazine, and it quietly disappeared.

No Limit Sports had a slew of big name stars in its heyday, most notably star running back Ricky Williams as well as NBA players Ron Mercer and Derek Anderson, while Jay Z made huge waves by signing Kevin Durant to Roc Nation Sports and helping to secure Robinson Cano’s $200 million deal with the Seattle Mariners this winter. Roc Nation has partnered with veteran agency CAA for a joint venture; it’s unclear whether Cash Money will look into any similar partnerships in the future. Drake has already gotten himself involved in the sports world, after he was named global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors earlier this year.

Reps for Cash Money declined to comment at this time.

Steve Harvey Has Ex-Wife Mary Harvey Jailed For Violating Gag Order (Details)

Back in 2008 Steve Harvey’s ex wife Mary accused him of physically abusing their teenage son. No charges were ever filed but Mary was just arrested for bringing the case back up in the media.

 

Last week Mediatakeout posted court docs from the 2008 case landing Mary in jail for violating the gag order concerning her divorce from Steve Harvey.

After the story ran Mary was thrown in jail for 30 days.

Mary tells her side of the story to Fox 4 in Dallas,

“I didn’t violate any court orders. This is about ‘You’re not supposed to be talking to anybody about your divorce.’ That’s what they’re saying. I’m like, this is America.”

PR Executive Fired After Offensive ‘Joke’ About Africans And AIDS, Issues Apology

This is what you call, "here’s what they think about you". A communications executive for media mogul Barry Diller went from relative obscurity to global pariah after an insensitive tweet about AIDS and Africa went viral.

 

The communications director fired over a tweet evoking AIDS and race that was sent as she was headed to Africa has now apologized, saying she is "ashamed" for her insensitivity to the millions of people living with the virus.

 Justine Sacco, formerly a PR executive for the Internet giant InterActive Corp., which owns popular websites like Match.com, Dictionary.com, and Vimeo, was fired over a tweet that came from her account on Friday that read: "Going to Africa. Hope I don't get AIDS. Just kidding. I'm white!"



Controversy erupted while Sacco was reportedly mid-flight with no Internet access. Today Sacco spoke to ABC News, saying "My greatest concern was this statement reach South Africa first." After sending her statement to a South African newspaper The Star,  

Sacco shared the following apology:"Words cannot express how sorry I am, and how necessary it is for me to apologize to the people of South Africa, who I have offended due to a needless and careless tweet," Sacco said in the statement. "There is an AIDS crisis taking place in this country, that we read about in America, but do not live with or face on a continuous basis. Unfortunately, it is terribly easy to be cavalier about an epidemic that one has never witnessed firsthand.

"For being insensitive to this crisis -- which does not discriminate by race, gender or sexual orientation, but which terrifies us all uniformly -- and to the millions of people living with the virus, I am ashamed.

"This is my father's country, and I was born here. I cherish my ties to South Africa and my frequent visits, but I am in anguish knowing that my remarks have caused pain to so many people here; my family, friends and fellow South Africans. I am very sorry for the pain I caused."

 A trending hashtag #HasJustineLandedYet and parody account @LOLJustineSacco quickly appeared on Twitter after Sacco sent the tweet. A fake Facebook account under her name was also created, where a post links to www.justinesacco.com, which brings up a donation page for Aid for Africa. 

InterActive Corp issued a statement to ABC News Saturday distancing itself from the tweet and saying the employee was fired. 

"There is no excuse for the hateful statements that have been made and we condemn them unequivocally," the InterActive Corp statement said. "We hope, however, that time and action, and the forgiving human spirit, will not result in the wholesale condemnation of an individual who we have otherwise known to be a decent person at core."

Amazon Refuses To Sell Beyonce’s CD, Beyonce Does Walmart Giveaway (Video)

Due to Beyonce’s unorthodox album release, Amazon has joined Target as retailers refusing to release the CD of Beyonce.

 

Apple iTunes was the exclusive distributor of Beyonce for the first week of its release, a move that kept Target from selling the CD as they “are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats,” according to an official statement. Amazon has not released a statement on their refusal to sell Beyonce’s CD other than through third party retailers.

Industry insiders speculate that Beyonce’s surprise release is the reason for Amazon’s decision. Reportedly, Sony Music Entertainment denied Amazon pre-order rights to the new album due to its surprise release. The Beyonce album is being featured in the “New Releases” section of Amazon’s Music department, however a few fan reviews on the site complain about not receiving the 17 videos that came with the iTunes-exclusive of Beyonce.

Not one to take opposition lightly, Beyonce surprisingly appeared at a Walmart in Tewksbury, Massachusetts last night (December 20th) and gave away $50 gift cards to all the shoppers.

President Obama Commutes Sentences Of 8 Nonviolent Crack Offenders

President Obama, working to limit extreme drug penalties handed out before the current law, commuted the sentences of eight nonviolent crack cocaine offenders. Of the group, six were serving life sentences for their offenses.

 

The commutations were the first to happen retroactively for the inmates, who all would have received significantly shorter sentences after the passing of the Fair Sentencing Act of 2010. President Obama and his administration have been working on ways to limit the taxpayer burden in operating prisons and to bring equality back to the justice system.

President Obama issued a statement regarding the commutations, addressing the aforementioned law and its aims of ending the disparity between crack and powder cocaine sentences.

From The White House:

Today, I am commuting the prison terms of eight men and women who were sentenced under an unfair system. Each of them has served more than 15 years in prison. In several cases, the sentencing judges expressed frustration that the law at the time did not allow them to issue punishments that more appropriately fit the crime.

President Obama is calling on Congress to focus on sentence reform in a bid to lower the reckless spending of taxpayer dollars. There is currently a bipartisan bill that would make the Fair Sentencing Act retroactive for some offenders and allow their cases to be reviewed for a lower sentence.

Of the inmates, Clarence Aaron has served the longest after being slapped with three life sentences in 1993 at the age of 22. Ironically, Aaron may have been freed sooner under the Bush administration if not for a reportedly botched review process. Stephanie George received a life sentence in 1997 for stashing crack at her home for a boyfriend.
Both Aaron and George will be freed in April. The other inmates will be released in 120 days or so.
