Salty? Beyonce’s New Album Banned From Target

Are you waiting on Target’s weekly $9.99 special to grab Beyonce‘s new album? If so, we suggest that you find a new tactic to get the new release as the singer’s album will not be on the store’s shelves.

Billboard.com reports that Target has decided not to sell Beyonce‘s fifth solo studio album due to it being released digital via iTunes first.

In a statement regarding the release, Target spokesperson, Erica Julkowski, stated, “At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections.

Although you won’t be able to grab Beyonce of of Target shelves, the Houston singer sales won’t be greatly hurt as she has already shattered an iTunes record for sales in a week and will sell over 800,000 units world wide in her first week.
