Before the BET Hip-Hop Awards air on the 15th, AllHipHop got their hands on a portion of Kendrick’s verse from the TDE’s cypher. Due to the reference below, many believe the bars are aimed at October’s Very Own.

Lola Monroe Addresses Rumors She Was Dropped From Taylor Gang (Video)

While on the red carpet for the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards Lola Monroe spoke on her successes thus far and addressed rumors flying around that she was dropped from Taylor Gang. She subliminally stated that she was never signed to Taylor Gang and therefore she could never have been dropped by them but at the end of the day “business is business” according to Lola.

Revealed: 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards Cyphers Lineup (Cypher Details)

The beginning of the fall season brings on another year of the BET Hip-Hop Awards. The much talked about buzz surrounding the event is the rap cyphers and this year’s lineup has been revealed.

 

 

 



The taping of the cyphers took place over the weekend so be on the look out for leaks of the freestyles from some of your favorite rappers all week.

The show will air on October 15th at 8 PM.
Cypher 1 – Wax, Rapsody, Emis Killa, Rittz, Jon Connor
Cypher 2 – A$AP Mob: Ferg, Twelvy, Nast, Ant & Rocky
Cypher 3 – Action Bronson, Star Life Breezy (Sprite Contest Winner) ,Travis $cott, Tifanny Foxx & Lil Kim
Cypher 4 – Slaughterhouse: Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, Royce da 5’9 & Joe Budden

According to eyewitnesses at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, Kendrick Lamar had the standout verse among those performing in their cyphers.

Apparently, K.Dot spit his competitive bars over Mobb Deep‘s ‘Shook Ones’ instrumental. The Compton emcee even took a couple of shots at Drake during his cypher.

The 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards will air Oct. 15 at 8PM EST.

Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz to Perform at 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards

 

 

Chart-topping rhyme-spitters Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz have been tapped to perform at the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards. The event is being taped in Atlanta on Sept. 28.

Joining K.Dot onstage will be his Black Hippy brethren ScHoolboy Q and Jay Rock. Meanwhile, Titty Boy will share the stage with fellow rapper French Montana.

Lamar leads the pack of nominees with 14 nods including Lyricist of the Year and Album of the Year for his standout album, ‘good kid, m.A.A.d city.’

2 Chainz has six mentions, including Best Live Performer and MVP of the Year. He, along with French, will most likely perform songs from their latest efforts, ‘B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time’ and ‘Excuse My French,’ respectively.

In addition, the current King of Comedy Kevin Hart, who goes by the rap alias Chocolate Droppa, will present trophies at the ceremony. That should be off the chain.

Along with performances, MC Lyte will be honored with the prestigious I Am Hip Hop Award. We also can’t forget about “The Cyphers,” which are the most talked-about segments at the event.
Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the BET Hip-Hop Awards will air on Oct. 15 at 8PM ET.
