Remy Ma And Papoose Rumored To Be Joining Love & Hip Hop NYC

I recently reported that rapstress Remy was in fact released from prison after a roadblock for disciplinary action. After posting several candid pictures of her back in the studio with producer DJ Khaled, the NYC rapper is now looking to hop on the small screen as well.

Remy Ma comes home after spending six years in Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in New York. We could not even keep her quiet even from behind bars. She was still allowed to do interviews and spit some bars for her fans. She recently did an interview with Angie Martinez on her new spot on Power 105 and revealed that she will be doing reality TV. She says “They’re making me do it.”

Word on the street is that Remy Ma and her husband Papoose will be on season 5 of VH1′s Love And Hip Hop New York. I don’t know how true this is, but my source claims it’s happening for sure. I mean what better story line to feature than a female rapper who just got out of jail for shooting one her close friend and got married to her Brooklyn rapper boyfriend while behind bars.

We all know Remy is always entertaining so I wouldn’t mind seeing her on there making me laugh. Remy gets out today so we will see if the VH1 cameras are on deck.

Linda Foglia, a public information officer for the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, said yesterday, “Remy Smith’s tentative release date of July 31 was postponed due to a misbehavior report involving a July 21 incident for phone violations, particularly third party calling,” meaning the phoner with Angie Mar was made via three way-calling (they still do that?) which is a violation. Welcome Back: Remy Ma Set To Be Released From Prison Today

In less than 24 hours Reminisce Smith aka Remy Ma will be released from the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility. After serving a little over 6 years, Remy Ma will finally be a free woman again.

 

 

Remy Ma was originally convicted and subsequently found guilty of shooting Makeeda Barnes-Joseph in the abdomen back in 2008, reportedly over $3,000. Remy recently called into Angie Martinez’s radio show on New York’s Power 105 for a 14 minute discussion on how she has been handling prison, how she has changed, and what’s in store for her upon her highly anticipated release.

As expected, Remy Ma has been spending her time in Bedford Hills writing rhymes and thinking about life. According to her, this situation has “caused her to look at business dealings personal actions differently. The Bronx bombshell also commented on fellow femcee Nikki Minaj stating that “Nick has always been a supporter and vice versa”. During her time in prison Remy Ma married her longtime beau who also happens to be a rapper, Papoose, whom Remy states has held her down this entire time. New pictures released recently show off a slimmer Remy, and to be locked up for the past 6 years she looks great! Along with her new music, Remy also may have a reality show in the works about her life as a female rapper and her struggle. With so much buzz surrounding her release, I guess it is safe to say that: The Ruler’s back!
