Wale Comes Clean On Meek Mill Feud: “He Ended Up Going To Jail Like 2 Days Later”

Maybach Music Group’s Wale has stepped forward to speak out on his relationship with locked up labelmate Meek Mill following a publicized feud earlier this summer. According to Wale, MMG head Rick Ross played a part in bringing the peace to their situation.

“He was just like, ‘Man, what? We ain’t talking ‘bout this right now.’ The crazy thing about it, Meek ended up going to jail like two days later. So it’s like bad. You have an argument with somebody and then something bad happen and you like, ‘Damn.’ So it was bad for me in that regard.” (“Russ Parr Morning Show”)

Despite Meek going at Wale’s neck, Ross recently said he ironed things out between both MMG artists.

“It’s a misunderstanding. As soon as the tweets went out, I spoke to both of them on the phone. Those two guys, they’re brothers. At the end of the day, they’re brothers and it’s time to turn up right now. It’s time for all of us to turn up and stay turned up, you know what I mean? But it’s all love between those two and everybody knows that.” (Bullet Media)

Ross also explained how the feud may have been sparked due to both artists growing independently.

“That’s why you seen whatever was said, the little brotherly jabs and then that was it. That’s all you’re going to see. They’re two real dudes, two successful dudes, and we all came from the same place. When I first brought them on the team, we all drove to our first video set together. It was just us three, and I felt we all was at the bottom at the time. You know, Wale was in his new situation, Meek in his first situation, and me in my very first situation being a CEO, being a bawse with my own label deal. So we all was on the same flow, and once we mention that, it’s all good.” (Bullet Media)

Wale posted a screenshot of a Meek track he promoted on Instagram and defended his image following the feud starting.

“Few weeks ago. (7w) I posted this .but ok. Movin along . My Avi always changed when it’s THAT time .. Ok that’s not enough y’all see “razor ramon ” post on his no. But I don’t care.. I wrote a long ass post day before his single dropped .. Mariah record dropped nobody said a word I didn’t care .. I still don’t… I carry myself with confidence and humility ., I always try to have a lighter side to MMG.. Cuz I understand I don’t “fit the mold” so if I’m tryna spruce an interview up to show that we not tryn be “serious tough guys” on the red carpet Or try to be a bit more engaging to broaden our audience forgive me . I never wanted anybody to think we take ourselves THAT serious. (Were rappers )I don’t need to take anybody shine.. Or hate on anybody . I walk in a completely different world .. Where I look for slp jeans and Shanghai dunks online and know what “kayfabe” means. I check nbadraft.net daily . I’m on whatculture allll day I enjoy shyt like that. I play f**kin Zelda and f**k wit bitches who teach yoga and paint… I get it . I’m different .” (Wale’s Instagram)

Wale Leaves Roc Nation & Guess Who He Will Now Be Repped By?!

Well here’s some interesting news for the day & it has fans talking. Wale has left Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and will now reportedly be repped by … LeBron James’ agents.

Roc Nation management, which is the home of the likes of Rihanna, Meek Mill, Kanye West, and more, has already removed Wale from their list of artists represented on their website.

Wale will reportedly be signing on with 77 Management Group going forward, which is run by Leonard Brooks, Rich Paul, and Maverick Carter, and is also the firm that handles the majority of LeBron James’ management affairs. As of right now it isn’t known what this means for Wale’s upcoming album, An Album About Nothing, which he is planning on dropping this fall.

Rick Ross Referees Wale & Meek Mill Beef: “I Spoke To Both Of Them”

Rozay knows best. In an interview with Bullett, Ross weighs in on the conflict between his artists, Meek Mill and Wale. To hear him tell it, their issues have since been resolved.

HOT 97 Summer Jam XX

On the way here, something was going on with Meek Mill and Wale. As the owner of the label, how do you handle when there’s conflict between two of your guys?
It’s a misunderstanding. As soon as the tweets went out, I spoke to both of them on the phone. Those two guys, they’re brothers. At the end of the day, they’re brothers and it’s time to turn up right now. It’s time for all of us to turn up and stay turned up, you know what I mean? But it’s all love between those two and everybody knows that.

The fact you got on the phone though shows how much you care.
Of course! That’s why you seen whatever was said, the little brotherly jabs and then that was it. So we all was on the same flow, and once we mention that, it’s all good.

It’s just a testament to how you handle beef, because you’re pretty laid back about conflict, and when it’s done it’s done.Of course! That’s how it’s supposed be, because we’re not here for that. What we’re here for is this, the culture! Fashion, the clothing, sneakers, sending that message – that’s what it’s about. You know certain things will occur; that’s just the nature of the game. There’s going to be dust kicked up at every arena, and you should all expect that. But at the same time, we’re focused on what we came for.

Wale Addresses Meek Mill Feud, Vows To ‘Correct’ Their Problem In "MMG Under God" (Audio)

Maybach Music Group’s Wale is not ready to let his friendship with incarcerated group member Meek Mill fade to black and addressed their situation on his new “MMG Under God” track. The Washington, DC native’s new record premiered Monday.

Lovefest At Bank United Center

Despite coming under fire from Meek Mill last week, Wale reaffirms his allegiance to Maybach Music on this new song, “MMG Under God.” The DMV representative sounds especially focused over the heavenly production as he addresses everything that’s happened over the past seven days. “One day they gon’ understand this worn out heart of mine / And subscribe to this genuine article of mine / But nevermind, a brother you argue with is a brother you love enough to correct / So passion over perfection as I religiously rep that double M shit,” he spits, before shouting out his soon-to-be-incarcerated groupmate. Wale retweeted a series of “Free Meek Mill”-related posts and displayed his respect for MM on Twitter last week.

Wale Speaks On WWE Confrontation

Wale is at it again. The MMG rapper was attending a WWE event in Washington, D.C., when a fellow attendee starting sending instigating tweets at him.

One of them was “Did wale just walk by me!? Nahhh b he better come collect this fade” while another was “You at Monday night raw f—boy? Come see me in the ring and catch this stunner @wale.”
A semi-confrontation took place and was also caught on tape but only for about 20 seconds (video posted below). Wale has now addressed the situation to MTV:
“It was just a dude that was like, ‘I’mma kick your ass. I better not see you here. I was like, ‘Yo, is this you?’ And one thing lead to another, and I just kind of mushed him a little bit,” the rapper explained, stressing that things didn’t turn violent. “Honestly, if there wasn’t kids right there, it would have went a little bit differently, but I just wanted to be conscious of them. It’s not to say it was the right decision. But in the moment, you know.”
“People get it misconstrued,” he went on. “Like, ‘Oh, you’re so butt-hurt.’ It’s not even that. I come from a place where when we was at the lunch table and n—as was jonesing on each other, I’ll respond. I’m gonna have something better, too. And now we’ve come to a place where, if you respond, you’re a bitch. Somebody could say ‘F— you’ 100 times, if I say ‘f— you’ back, then I’m a bitch. And people be like, ‘You’re famous, you shouldn’t care. I care what people say because I try to be a man of the people.”
“I just don’t understand, [in] society, why we champion people like that in this day and age,” he said. “I remember when people used to admire real people that stand behind their words or are stand-up men. I come from that. I had to address him as such. It wasn’t nothing really serious.”

Wale Punches Heckler In Face At WWE Event (Video)

Rap star Wale PUNCHED A GUY IN THE FACE at a WWE event Monday night — and judging by the way security rushed in to break it up, it appeared to be 100% REAL.

It all went down at “Raw” in Washington D.C. — TMZ spoke with eyewitness Jawn Murray from AlwaysAlist.com who says Wale was sitting right behind the announcers enjoying the show … when some fan seated nearby began taunting the rapper.

Murray says Wale eventually got up out of his seat and “the next thing I know Wale is putting the smackdown on dude. Punched him dead in his face. It was a full fight.”

‘Ol boy was trolling Wale to no end. I call this…No Chill In The Wild.

Must See: Wale Pays Homage To Biggie & Tupac With Leg Tattoo

The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac are legends who’s rap career was cut short, but current rappers like Wale are making sure that their legacy lives on. The D.C. rapper paid homage to both by getting a tattoo on each leg, which he proudly showed off on Instagram. I can support the message.

The ink was done by talented tattoo artist Nikko Hurtado, owner of Black Anchor in California, who did a realistic portrait of each rapper. He was somehow able to project the persona of both Big and Tupac in the artwork,

While he was in the building he spoke on his performance in the NBA All-Star celebrity game, praises Cowboy’s QB Tony Romo (Thought he was a Redskins fan? That's sort of an oxymoron)  and if Barry Bonds should be included in the Hall of Fame.
