Diddy Drops $40 Million On Sick House

Diddy is moving up the ranks of elite L.A. homeowners … because TMZ has learned he just closed escrow on a $40 million estate in one of the most exclusive parts of the city.

The mogul now owns a European villa in Holmby Hills — near where Michael Jackson died.
The estate has 8 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. The main house is 17,000 square feet with a 3,000 square foot guesthouse. And, there’s a separate spa house that has a steam room, massage room and beauty salon.

Of course the lagoon-style pool has a grotto.

The home is brand new … built 6 months ago.

Diddy, with the help of mega-realtor Kurt Rappaport, was on the hunt for an L.A. home for years.

And now a message from Puffy

CUT THE CHECK: Diddy Puts Up Huge $200 Mil Bid For Popular TV Network

Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy is making headlines this week as reports claim he has put up $200 million for popular music-basd television network Fuse TV. Details of Puff Daddy’s hefty bid have started to scatter across the Internet.

Sean Combs wants to light a fuse under his new cable network Revolt. The hip-hop mogul is said to have made a bid to buy Fuse, a music channel owned by Madison Square Garden Co. The bid comes after Combs launched his own music cable network Revolt TV last year. If Combs is successful in his efforts to acquire Fuse, he would most likely replace it with Revolt. Fuse is in over 70 million homes, while Revolt, which only launched last fall, is in a fraction of that. The rap star offered $200 million for Fuse, according to Bloomberg News. That is far less than the more than $300 million that New York-based MSG sought when it put the music cable channel up for a possible sale last year, a former Fuse executive said. (Los Angeles Times)

Reports also claim Puff tried to get his hands on Fuse in recent years.
This is not the first time Combs has made a run at Fuse. He was part of a group of potential buyers that made an offer a few years ago, the former Fuse staffer said. A representative for Revolt TV declined to comment. An MSG spokesman said, “as we have stated, we are exploring strategic alternatives for Fuse, and will have no further comment during what is still an ongoing process.” (Los Angeles Times)

Diddy Set To Star In Remake Of Cult Classic 'King Of New York'

Sean “Diddy” Combs is one ambitious fellow. The Bad Boy Records and Revolt TV founder, Ciroc vodka pusher and sometime rapper is remaking the cult classic film King Of New York, and plans to star in the film, too.

Reports Hip Hop Wired:

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Combs is teaming with Brian Grazer to remake the 1990 gangster flick and have a lead role. Abel Ferrara directed the original, which starred Christopher Walken as Frank White and also included Laurence Fishburne and Wesley Snipes.
“Sean optioned the rights to remake ‘King of New York’ for two years,” Grazer told the Post. “The film is a cult classic, and it will be great to remake it. Our version won’t be exactly the same, but will have the same hard-core gangster feel. Sean wants to be in it, he was amazing in ‘Monster’s Ball,’ and such strong characters sit perfectly with him.”
For those that don’t know, “Frank White” was one of the aliases of Hip-Hop’s only real King of New York (sorry Kendrick Lamar), Bad Boy rapper the Notorious B.I.G. Since the film’s modest release in 1990, is has become one of Hip-Hop culture’s favorite movies.
Combs and Grazer plan to start production on their version of King Of New York in 2013.

Rap Mogul Claims Feds Asked Him About Diddy’s Sex Life

Former rap mogul James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond claims in an affidavit that federal prosectors allegedly grilled him with awkward questions about the sex lives of different celebrities, including Diddy.

Diddy

Reports The Boom Box:

According to the Smoking Gun, Rosemond was interrogated by prosecutors during nine pre-trial proffer sessions. During his October 4, 2011 session, the Czar Entertainment CEO alleges that he was asked about Diddy’s sexual proclivities and whether he engaged in sex with underage boys.

Normally, these interviews allow defendants to admit to past crimes without it being used against them in court. These off-the-record confessions often help a defendant cut a deal with the feds.

The 48-year-old music executive was convicted last year of running an elaborate multimillion-dollar drug-trafficking scheme throughout the U.S. with various associates. He faces a mandatory term of life in prison when sentenced in federal court on Oct. 25.
Rosemond, who used to manage rapper Game, gave no reason behind the questioning and claims that prosecutors rejected his deal because he wouldn’t confess to crimes that he didn’t commit.

Rosemond’s former attorney, Gerald Shargel, contends that investigators were simply fishing for “trophies” when they questioned his client about celebrities’ sex lives during the proffer sessions.

Prosecutors denied Shargel’s claims and said that Rosemond was untrustworthy and lied during the interrogation.
