Jeezy Posts Bail

 

Three days after his arrest, Jeezy and five others have posted bail, MTV has confirmed. Jeezy’s due back in court September 5.

 

 

Backstory:

 

Jeezy was arrested over the weekend following the backstage murder at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in San Francisco. When a search warrant was executed on his tour bus at the next tour stop in Irvine, CA, authorities found an assault rifle. According to TMZ he’s currently in custody on $1 million bail.

Young Jeezy Refuses To Snitch Over AK-47 Found On Tour Bus

Young Jeezy really is waist deep in legal trouble stemming from his recent arrest (August 24th) for having a military-grade AK-47 stashed away on his tour bus. He, along with 5 other individuals, were on the tour bus when the assault rifle was found.

 

They all were taken into custody and charged with felony possession of the weapon because none of them would give up any information as to who was the true owner of the gun. Unfortunately for two of the men arrested with Jeezy, they’ve been hit with 2 additional charges because they are already convicted felons.

The initial investigation which led to the discovery of the weapon was launched after 38-year-old concert promoter Eric Johnson was shot and killed backstage at a recent Wiz Khalifa Under The Influence Tour show.

Jeezy Blames Freddie Gibbs For Ruining Eminem Relationship; Freddie Gibbs Responds (Videos)

Jeezy recently explained how he felt Freddie Gibbs ruined relationships, including his work with Eminem.

 

“When the whole ordeal was going on, I was more disappointed than anything,” Jeezy said in an interview with New York radio station Hot 97. “I messed up a lot of relationships, even with Eminem, just by me putting Gibbs on the record that was for me and, trying to convince Em to do the record, and the record leaking in the process. That burned a great bridge for me. Eminem is my dude. Me putting [Gibbs] on song with T.I. – putting him on three or four of my mixtapes – and me paying for videos that he didn’t use because when he showed up to the set too late for them to shoot, and it’s all my money.”

Jeezy recently also spoke about this issue in July.

“To be honest, it could have,” Jeezy said. “I put him on a song with Eminem. I put him on a song with T.I. I put him on numerous mixtapes that I had. I took him on tour. Took him around the world. I spent money on videos that he didn’t use cause he didn’t like em. And it wasn’t his money. So, at the end of the day my whole thing was to him was ‘I took you to every label in the game. They don’t wanna sign you. I don’t have no reason—I love you. You know what I’m saying? I think your music is dope, but they don’t want to sign you.’ So, at the end of the day when I called him up I was like ‘Yo, I can’t really spend my money on you. I got family, other shit I gotta take care of. So, I’ll help you all I can, but I can’t fund it anymore.’ Cool. Conversation went well. We got off the conversation it was straight, love. I hear diss records. What I’m supposed to do? I’m not replying to that. Nigga, we getting money…At the end of the day we all tried. It didn’t work. That shit happens in business all the time.”

Broken Silence: Jeezy Speaks On Freddie Gibbs Beef (Video)

Jeezy is gearing up to drop a new album, Seen It All, on September 2. But during a recent interview, the Snowman spoke on same past business, including his fall out with Freddie Gibbs.

 

Speaking with Elliott Wilson, Jeezy explained the circumstances behind the now infamous fall out.

“I put him on a song with Eminem. I put him on a song with T.I. I put him on numerous mixtapes that I had,” said Jeezy. “I took him on tour. Took him around the world. I spent money on videos that he didn’t use, cause he didn’t like them, and it wasn’t his money.”
The “Seen It All” rapper further elaborated that Gibbs pretty much became a bad investment.

He continued, “So at the end of the day, my whole thing was to him was ‘I took you to every label in the game. They don’t wanna sign you. I don’t have no reason—I love you. I think your music is dope, but they don’t want to sign you.’ So at the end of the day when I called him up I was like, ‘Yo, I can’t really spend my money on you. I got family, other sh*t I gotta take care of. So, I’ll help you all I can, but I can’t fund it anymore.’”
According to Jeezy, who pointed out the YG has been a success under his watch, after that conversation—that he thought was “love”—diss records and commentary eventually started coming from Gibbs.

Real shit, Jeezy and Jay Z make the best collaborations. More recently, the tandem added another W with “Seen It All”, the title track to Da Snowman’s forthcoming album. In an interview with MTV Jeezy explains how the song came about and says Hov admitted to getting misty eyed while writing his verse.

New Music: Jeezy "Me OK" + Announces New Album (Video)

 

It’s been three years and a shit load of mixtapes since Jeezy’s last album. But the wait seems to be coming to a close with the announcement of his fifth solo album, Seen It All. No word on if it’ll be released via Def Jam, but Da Snowman provided some insight behind the title.

“I gave you Thug Motivation 101, I gave you The Inspiration, The Recession, I gave you 103, and I feel like through all that, I been through a lot and I feel like I seen it all. That’s why I named my new album Seen It All. To be ten year in the game and still be a solid A1, no dirt on your jersey and still doing what you do, you gotta have a lot of wisdom and anybody like Birdman, Jay Z, or Puff Daddy can attest to that. It takes a lot to be strong in this game and still be here and do you’re thing. That’s why I feel like I’m a young OG, I Seen It All.



Jeezy shows he's doing just fine. So much in fact that he hooks up with Drumma Boy on his new single. On the second verse, Da Snowman gives an update on his long delayed album and says he may drop it on Atlantic Records. Def Jam aint gonna be too happy about that.

 

Freddie Gibbs Debuts Jeezy Diss ‘Real’ In Chicago (Video)

 

Sh*t just got real! Freddie Gibbs has a new album coming out with Madlib titled Piñata on March 18th and included is a diss record aimed at Jeezy called ‘Real’. Gangsta Gibbs debuted the song last week at his show in Metro, Chicago and I finally have the footage today. The ex-CTE rapper goes no holds barred on his former label boss with lines like “You wanna be Jay Z, nigga you just a f**king puppet” and “Ross had you scared to drop a diss record”.
