Update: Benzino In Stable Condition After Being Shot, Recovering With Friends And Family

Although the facts are still coming in as to what actually took place, sources are confirming that Benzino is currently hospitalized but in stable condition following reports that he was shot three times by his nephew, Gai Scott, 36, during the funeral procession.

According to WCVB Boston, his nephew was reportedly riding in a Bentley alongside the Dodge SUV being driven by Benzino and opened fire as the cars made their way through the funeral procession.

 

Benzino was taken by ambulance to South Shore Hospital with non-fatal injuries shortly following the shooting, while his nephew was later arrested.

“There has been growing family tension between Raymond Scott and Gai Scott,” Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said in a statement.
The funeral was initially delayed due to the incident, however it was eventually held.
