We don’t know who got Meek riled up, but it seems to work in his favor on his new single produced by Honorable C.N.O.T.E. The track serves as the first single off Dreams Worth More Than Money which is set to drop later this year.
Charles “Pop” Young, the father of rapper Trick Daddy, filed the lawsuit in Miami-Dade Circuit Court on Monday afternoon. Well, it looks like that lawsuit wasn’t too off because a new lawsuit claims the baller owes $150K for 4000 booty dances!
Turns out Bryant McKinnie‘s infamous $375,000 strip club bill wasn’t as “bogus” as he said it was; the 350-pound offensive tackle has finally agreed to pay for a massive chunk of the alleged debt, roughly 4,000 lap dances worth, aka $150,000.
According to new court documents, McKinnie recently struck a settlement agreement with Trick Daddy‘s father Charles “Pops” Young after Young sued McKinnie for $375,000 in 2012.
Young claimed McKinnie ran up the bill over a 20-month period at two of his strip clubs, including the Miami staple King of Diamonds. According to Young, McKinnie promised to pay the bill back in 2010, but never did.
To her credit Mariah sings most of the song herself, even singing the wrong lyrics on the bridge, but then at the 2:28 mark just as she’s about to hit her signature high note, Mariah appears to be singing her heart out only there’s no sound coming out of her mouth.
Sources close to the rapper tell TMZ, Fiddy is extremely hurt and upset by the photo his son Marquise Jackson posted on Facebook Sunday crying in his cap and gown while hugging his mother.
Marquise wrote, “Yea I broke down. I was really excited to see my pops at my graduation but he never showed up smh. My sister and mama is always there for me just know that you wasn’t. I did it without you.”
But 50 disagrees … telling friends he was never told when or where the graduation ceremony was, or he would have been there. FYI, the ceremony was at Marquise’s private school in ATL (the same school 50 reportedly foots the bills for).
We’re told 50 spent last weekend in NYC for a charity event.
It’s breathtaking on 2 levels — that Ray J has such humongous cajones, and that the tape is still raking in a fortune after 7 years.
Here’s the breakdown of the wedding gift. Mind you, this is just Ray J’s cut:
– January $6,135.60
– February $20,097.31
– March $9,674.76
– April $10,931.52
– TOTAL: $46,840.13
Now get this … sources from Vivid Entertainment tell us the tape has grossed $50 MILLION!
Remember, we’re told Kim gets AT LEAST as much as Ray J, though we don’t know exactly how much.
We’ve reached out to Kim to see if she’ll accept Ray’s gift, but so far no word back. We’re told … if she doesn’t want it he’ll donate the money to her favorite charity.
Ray J — yes, that’s his wallet AND he’s happy to see you.
Jay Adams of AtlantaFalcons.com provides Falcons owner Arthur Blank’s statement on the matter:
We were all saddened to learn about the death of Roddy’s brother Tyrone. Roddy is part of our Falcons family, and families stand together in difficult circumstances. Roddy and his family can count on our support through this very trying time. On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family.
According to Charleston County Sheriff’s Maj. Eric Watson, via The Post and Courier’s David MacDougall, authorities reported to the Lake House Club on James Island at 2:51 a.m. Saturday after several gunshots were fired. Moore was taken to Medical University Hospital with a wound, but he was later pronounced dead.
MacDougall’s report notes that no arrests have yet been made.
According to MacDougall, the two brothers were raised together by their mother on James Island, where White was born, and Moore then lived with the Falcons star in Atlanta for “several years” while attending high school.
White is set to enter his 10th season in the NFL. After playing his entire NFL career with the Falcons, he’s become a staple of the organization. The tragic news has obviously shaken an Atlanta Falcons organization in which White has been such a huge part of over the past decade.
Yesterday (May 17) was a very important day for 50 Cent's son, Marquise Jackson. It was the day that Marquise graduated from high school. Unfortunately, his father wasn't there. Something Marquise says he understands all too well. Captioning a photo of him crying into his sister's arms at his graduation, Marquise writes, "Yea I broke down. I was really excited to see my pops at my graduation today but he never showed up. My sister and mama is always there for me. Just know that you wasn't. I did it without you!
You only graduate high school once. It's kind of disappointing that 50 couldn't be there for his son, regardless of the personal issues they've been having.
According to Marquise's sister, the Facebook page that posted this photo is not Marquise's real page. Although the page appears to have over 5,000 friends and 200k followers, some including friends that know Marquise personally and attended his graduation. His sister, Mia, provided his Twitter and Instagram and says they've been trying to get the fake page shut down.
"The page has been there for years. We tried to get it deleted. Whoever runs that page has a lot of time on his hands because they create pages of our mother and I and have them correspond with one another as if it's us, but it's not."
So from the photos, 50 Cent did not appear to be at his son's graduation but according to Marquise's sister, Marquise did not make those comments.
As part of the agreement that allowed Hardy to be freed from jail, Mecklenburg District Court Judge Becky Thorne Tin ordered the All-Pro lineman Thursday to turn over any weapons he owns or has access to.
A Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said a representative of Hardy handed over the firearms Friday morning, including at least six military-type, semi-automatic rifles and three 12-gauge shotguns. The transfer took place at a Sheriff’s Office building on North Tryon Street.
According to Holder, Hardy has between 25-30 firearms between his two Charlotte residences. Under North Carolina law, Hardy did not need a permit for these types of guns nor is there a limit on how many he can own.
“I don’t anticipate that being how it’s going to be,” Griffin said when asked whether he could continue to play for the team if Sterling were owner at the start of next season. “If it still is, I’ll make a decision then. It’s not something that’s ideal. Personally, I don’t know all the ins and outs of everything. I hear stuff just like everybody else does, but I don’t know what’s really true or not. It’s up to [the league], but I don’t think that’s an ideal situation for us, to start next season with that still going on.”
“Personally, I think the longer it lasts, the worse it’s going to be,” Griffin said. “I think something should happen and I think it should happen quickly. I think guys need to make decisions. I don’t think anybody wants this to drag out except for one or two people. I think it needs to be swift.
“We need to make our decision or they need to make their decision or whatever it is and make a change. But, at the same time, we have to be patient. There is a due process that has to happen and I understand that, but I don’t want to keep answering questions about it.”
Earlier this year, we began stalking the fertility Gods, when Savannah attended All Star Weekend, with what appeared to be a bump of sorts. Specifically, the Miami Heat superstar hosted a GQ party, where his wife rocked a long, fitted dress. At the time, we couldn’t tell if it was a simple bad angle or if she was expecting.
Over the weekend, Page Six reported that Savannah had been spotted sporting a baby bump in recent weeks. And notes of congratulation popped up on her Facebook page Tuesday after she cryptically posted,
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
A Miami Heat rep insists that Savannah is ‘not pregnant‘. The James camp has yet to address the rumors themselves. Savannah has refrained from taking photos on the rare red carpets that she has attended, nor has she shared Instagram photos of herself.
Lebron proposed to Savannah, his high school sweetheart, on December 31, 2011 at a party celebrating New Year’s Eve and his 27th birthday. The two were married last year. Together they have two sons, LeBron James, Jr. (9) and Bryce Maximus James (6).
Reactions ranged from applauds to discontent to comedic outburst, but what else do you expect? This is the Internets that we’re talking about. While the Carters were pretty straight forward in their wording, we assume that detractors are still seeking a scoop that they’ll never get.
Details are still scarce, but theGrio.com caught up with John Holland, a writer for the upcoming WSHH TV venture to get more scoop. Holland gave us a better idea of what fans can expect from the pilot.
TG: How much input did Q, CEO of WSSH, have in the creation?
First off, let me say that Q is a really cool dude. Like, my first thought was he’s going to be some Suge Knight kinda guy that was obsessed with street fights and what not, but he’s a really friendly, tech-savvy guy. After the last day, he asked if he could take a picture with us? Us? You? Man we should be asking you for that (and he even sought out and tagged us on Instagram). He pretty much had access to anyone we could imagine.
It was just a matter of convincing people that we’re not making fun of them but having fun WITH them.
TG: Adult Swim in the past has been known to push the envelope, but most would consider World Star Hip Hop to be a pretty extreme. How will WSHH fit within on a TV platform?
Adult Swim is always about being different. If you really look at their shows, they’re not comparable to any other show on any other network. We’re definitely going to push the show to its limit, but with the room of writers we had, it’s not just going to be trashy, lowbrow comedy (maybe a stripper or ten).
It’s really some good writing with awesome stories and twists no one will see coming, while keeping it gritty and raw. I think those combinations make it fit well within Adult Swim.
TG: How does a brand that began as “ratchet” transition into the mainstream?
Honestly, we’ll find out with the show. Honestly, with WSHH already having such a strong brand, anyone willing to do anything with them must know what comes with the territory. Of course, it’s not total anarchy.
We still have network guidelines and Standards and Practices to obey, but you don’t approach WSHH unless you want a little ratchet in your life.
Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of assault on a female and communicating threats after an incident with his girlfriend, identified as 24-year-old Nicole Holder, who alleges that Hardy threw her on a couch covered with firearms.
According to the Observer, Holder’s protective-order complaint states “that Hardy was angry with her because of a short-lived relationship with the rapper Nelly, who is a part-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. She stated in the court documents that she and Hardy had been trying to work things out and that she and Hardy were in bed together early Tuesday morning when Hardy ‘just snapped.’”
According to the judge, both Hardy and Holder were intoxicated at the time of the incident. Hardy’s attorney, Chris Fialko, maintains that his client is innocent and that Holder is responsible for the disturbance after she attacked Hardy and his friend, Sammy Curtis.
A 911 called obtained Wednesday by CBSSports.com has Hardy telling the operator that Holder was trying to hit him with her shoe and that she hit him in the face twice. But a second 911 call made from Hardy’s downstairs neighbor claimed that the Panthers’ defensive end was “beating (Holder’s) a**.”
The Panthers, who are set to pay Hardy $13.1 million next season, met with the defensive end and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, Wednesday to discuss his arrest, the Observer reports.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a law enforcement source tells BOSSIP exclusively that Steven Jordan was arrested in Crawford County, GA Friday for trafficking marijuana. And it looks like he was unable to get in front of a judge today for a bail hearing so he’s likely to spend his weekend locked up!
(May 14th), before Lebron James and the Miami Heat eliminated the Brooklyn Nets from the NBA Playoffs, James spoke with ESPN about the statements made by NBA players union vice president Roger Mason Jr. on Jim Rome on Showtime:
“Roger comes in here, we speak about issues. I believe that issue came up but, as a team, we never discussed it. Roger is a great guy and I don’t have a problem with him at all.”
Roger Mason Jr addressed his comments on his personal Twitter account, admitting to being unclear on the boycott news:
My bad if I was not clear.LBJ never said anything about boycotting. He's a friend and I would never want to imply something he didn't say
— Roger Mason Jr (@MoneyMase) May 14, 2014
Fif posted up a portion of the fight footage to his Instagram account and also narrated it.
“Now what was that slick sh*t you said? Nah, nah, f*ck that Marcy sh*t. N*gga, this Houston! Get the f*ck off of me! You gonna get your a** kicked, n*gga. Don’t you never in your life try to do your f*ck sh*t. I will f*ck you up! I will f*ck you up! I’m cool, I just had to check a n*gga.”
“Family Matters, jay you did the right thing keep cool.lol #smsaudio #animalambitionFollowing”
“Ok I ain’t gonna forget this sh!t. #smsaudio #animalambition” (50 Cent’s Instagram)
Although not as direct as Fif, Dame Dash posted up a photo of Solange and noted her fighter-like image.
“Forgot about this one @ava_dash @atrak and solange …I am actually impressed with her independent spirit… She seems like a fighter #festivallife” (Dame Dash’s Instagram)
The hotel where the fight went down issued a statement Monday (May 12).
A publicist for the Standard Hotel has provided the following statement exclusively to theGrio: “We are shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system and the confidentiality that we count on providing our guests. We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.” (theGrio)
A few snapshots of 6-moth-old Xavier Zechriah Wade hit the interet over the weekend courtesy of Jocks And Stiletto Jill….and he’s definitely gonna be a little heartbreaker.
