Chris Brown Rejects Plea Deal In Washington, D.C. Assault Case

Chris Brown’s legal team rejected a plea deal on the assault case the singer is facing stemming from an October assault outside of a Washington, D.C. hotel.

The prosecution offered to reduce the charge to simple assault from misdemeanor assault. Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, wants to see a surveillance video that may have captured the incident before agreeing to a plea bargain, TMZ.com says.

The singer is facing a misdemeanor assault charge from an incident which began when Brown was reportedly approached at approximately 4:30 am by two women who wanted to take a picture with him in front of the W Hotel in Washington, D.C., according to law enforcement, as per TMZ. When two men attempted to get into the photo, Brown allegedly used a gay slur before allegedly throwing a punch at the alleged victim.

Brown was initially facing a felony assault charge, but it was reduced to a misdemeanor from a felony, according to TMZ.com.

The singer pled not guilty to the charge and is required to stay 100 yards away from the alleged victim in the case.

Floyd Mayweather’s BM's Get Into Public Screaming Match At His Vegas Promo Event (Video)

Boxing champ Floyd Mayweather has just as much drama in his personal life as he does success in the ring. Following a week full of internet slander courtesy of his disgruntled homie 50 Cent, money Mayweather found himself in the middle of a mess yet again as a disagreement between his babymamas turned physical at his event in Vegas over the weekend.

Details on what exactly led to the confrontation are still sketchy, but word on the street is that Floyd’s babymama Melissa became fed up with his other ex Josie after Josie accused Melissa of wearing Floyd’s most recent ex-fiance Shantel Jackson’s hand me downs on Instagram.

SMH. Hit the flip to see Melissa’s response to Josie, as well as footage of them screaming at each other with Floyd in the middle of it all.

….and then followed up with this pic of she and Floyd at the event where the confrontation took place.

As if things couldn’t get anymore publicly messy, footage of the ladies going at it with Floyd in the middle surfaced online shortly following their screaming match.

Update: Tracy Morgan’s Time In Wheel Chair To Be Longer Than Expected

One couldn’t help but smile after seeing photos of Tracy Morgan in recovery mode following a near-fatal car crash that claimed the life of a comedian friend. But his attorney says the former 30 Rock star’s having a difficult time getting back to 100 percent.

“He’s really having a tough time,” Benedict P. Morelli said to The Star-Ledger Newspaper.

Morelli’s words follow a six-car accident on the New Jersey Turnpike that left Morgan with a broken leg, nose, and ribs, and claimed the life of his friend James McNair, when their limo bus was hit by a Wal-Mart truck.

What Morrelli describes as an “incremental progress” may leave Morgan confined to a wheelchair for the coming months, according to the attorney.

Kevin Roper, 35, was driving the Wal-Mart vehicle that collided with Morgan’s limo bus; the Ga. native has since pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide and four counts of assault by auto.

Morgan, however, is suing Wal-mart for negligence.

Oh Wow: Nike Matches Under Armour’s Huge Offer For Kevin Durant

The tide has turned in the sneaker battle between Nike and Under Armour, as many perceived Durant to be headed to the Maryland-based brand, but Nike has swooped in at the 11th hour of their deadline to offer Durant an unprecedented sneaker contract.

It is being reported that Nike has countered Under Armour’s offer, which is between $265 million and $285 million for the next 10 years. Nike, whose seven-year deal that guaranteed Durant $60 million is expiring, made an initial offer of about $20 million a year that was far from what Durant was looking for. Under Armour’s huge pay for Durant had many believing that Nike would even let him go at that price. While Jay-Z was kicking off his latest Made In America festival in Philadelphia, Nike reached out to Roc Nation Sports to send the offer sheet.

While the numbers haven’t been officially released, it is rumored that Durant should make more — in base and royalties — than the Thunder will pay him over the next two seasons ($41.2 million). This might seem like a heavy price tag even for Durant, but Durant’s signature line generated 175 Million dollars for Nike last year, while the brand didn’t exhaust all retail possibilities.
