Former NFL Star Warren Sapp Calls Out Rick Ross For Lying (Video)

Rick Ross’ authenticity and honesty has been questioned throughout his career, mostly because many people feel his musical persona does not reflect his real past. The latest person to call out the Bawse’s credibility is former University of Miami and Tampa Bay Buccaneers football player Warren Sapp.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame member made an appearance on the Sway In The Morning show, and when Sapp was asked about a rumored $100,000 bet he made with Ross over the Super Bowl, the 7-time Pro Bowler did not mince his words about the MMG leader.

“How many times have you known Ross to lie?” asked Sapp. “Anytime since he been out, when have you known Ross to lie?… The correctional officer part. The whatever else and all the rest of it. Come on man.”

He added, “Ross is messing with how I feed my family. I can’t be associated with known gamblers. I’m sitting on the stage with him because I’m hosting a party he’s coming through. So he’s yelling at me, ‘Yo, Sapp I got some dudes over in Brooklyn. Ima hit them for $100,000.’ I’m like, “Don’t bet that Ross.’ He goes out. TMZ is following him with cameras, so he conjures up a lie.”

Sapp later explains he responded to a Ross twit pic about the situation without fully reading the message. He also made it clear he does not gamble and tells Sway that in this new “social media world” everything people see is not real.

Cam Newton likes to dress in very interesting outfits for his post-game interviews. But this one might take the cake. His lilac jacket and outfit were insane and people had questions.

NFL Baller Jonathan Dwyer Head-Butted, Punched, And Broke Wife’s Nose B/C She Refused Sex

Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer head-butted his wife and broke her nose after she refused his sexual advances, and punched her in the face the next day, police said Thursday.

The details surfaced in a law enforcement report a day after Dwyer was arrested on aggravated assault charges and deactivated from all team activities after he was taken into custody at the Cardinals’ practice facility and headquarters in Tempe. He spent a night in jail and made a brief court appearance before being released on bail early Thursday.

The arrest came at a time when the NFL and its commissioner are under fire over a series of violent off-the-field encounters involving some of the league’s marquee players, including Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson and Greg Hardy.
The NFL has said the Dwyer case will be reviewed under the league’s personal-conduct policy.

More details have emerged regarding the two incidents of domestic violence.
In the first encounter, police say Dwyer attempted to kiss and undress his wife, but she refused. Someone who heard the argument reported the assault to police, who showed up at the apartment but did not make an arrest. Dwyer hid in a bathroom and the wife said she hadn’t been assaulted and denied he was in the home because the running back threatened to kill himself in front of her and their child if she told police about the assault, police said.

The next day, Dwyer punched his wife with a closed fist on the left side of her face, according to police. He also punched walls and threw a shoe at his 17-month-old son, who was not injured, police said.

As his wife tried to call police, Dwyer grabbed her cellphone and threw it down from the home’s second story. Witnesses told police that Dwyer’s wife said, “I’m calling the police” as she held her swollen face and clutched her son.
SMMFH…

During his police interview on Wednesday, Dwyer acknowledged hiding in the bathroom when police responded to the first argument and sending a photo of a knife with suicidal threats. Dwyer denied committing an assault, though he acknowledged that he punched walls in his home, threw a phone and that his wife bit his lip during the disputes, according to the police report. As he was released from jail Thursday, he said he never hurt his son.

Arizona Cardinals RB Jonathan Dwyer-- Arrested For Domestic Violence

Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer was arrested Wednesday for domestic violence over an alleged altercation with his wife.

0917_jonathan-dwyer_getty
Dwyer was involved in two separate situations in July, according to the Arizona Republic. The victims are listed as a 27-year-old female and an 18-month-old child. Dwyer is married with one child.

The two altercations allegedly took place on July 21 and July 22 and Dwyer is facing a total of five charges: one count of aggravated assault causing a fracture, one count of aggravated assault involving a minor, two counts of criminal damage and one count of preventing someone from calling 911.

Police actually responded to Dwyer's home after the July 21 incident because Dwyer's neighbors had reported a disturbance. Dwyers wife answer the door that night and conviced police that she had gotten into a verbal dispute with Dwyer and that there was no need for authorities to intervene.

The Cardinals reacted quickly to the arrest, the team announced that Dwyer has been deactivated for this week's game against the 49ers.

"We became aware of these allegations this afternoon when notified by Phoenix police and are cooperating fully," the team said in a statement. "Given the serious nature of the allegations we have taken the immediate step to deactivate Jonathan from all team activities. We will continue to closely monitor this as it develops and evaluate additional information as it becomes available."

The Cardinals running back has carried the ball 16 times for 51 yards and a touchdown through the first two weeks of the season.

Dwyer's arrest comes on the same day that the Panthers placed defensive end Greg Hardy on the Exempt/Commissioner's Permission list. Hardy, who's awaiting a jury trial on domestic violence charges, won't be able to participate in any team activities until his legal issues are resolved.

The arrest also comes less than 24 hours after the NFL announced that it would be hiring four women to serve as advisers to Roger Goodell to help shape the NFL's stance on domestic violence.

"Because domestic violence and sexual assault are broad societal issues, we have engaged leading experts to provide specialized advice and guidance in ensuring that the NFL's programs reflect the most current and effective approaches," Goodell wrote in a memo.

Dwyer's arrest comes on the heels of two other notable situations in the NFL.

Former Ravens running back Ray Rice was suspended indefinitely on Sept. 8 after TMZ released a video showing Rice punching his wife in an elevator in Atlantic City, N.J. The NFLPA is currently appealing that suspension on Rice's behalf.

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is also on indefinite leave. Peterson was indicted on charges of "reckless or negligent injury to a child" in Texas on Sept. 12. On Wednesday, the team announced that Peterson would be placed on the Exempt/Commissioner's Permission list. Like Hardy, Peterson won't be able to participate in any team activities until his legal issues are resolved.

Nike Puts A Freeze On NFL Star Adrian Peterson’s Endorsement Deal

Nike, hours after pledging its loyalty to accused child abuser Adrian Peterson, announced Wednesday that it was suspending its endorsement deal with the onetime NFL MVP.

The Minnesota Vikings star’s association with the multibillion-dollar global sporting goods business dates back years.

“Nike in no way condones child abuse or domestic violence of any kind and we have shared our concerns with the NFL,” the terse emailed statement said. “We have suspended our contract with Adrian Peterson.”

Only hours earlier, Nike offered its support of the superstar while promising to monitor allegations against Peterson.

It was unclear what caused the sneaker manufacturer to kick Peterson to the curb.

Says A.P.’s lawyer:
“Adrian wants to continue his work in the NFL and contribute to his team and community,” Hardin said. “In order to do so, he is prepared to resolve this matter in the appropriate legal forum rather than the court of public opinion.

“I have spent my entire career asking people to wait until all the facts are in, and I’m doing so again today … Adrian is confident a just result will emerge once all the facts are presented.”

NFL: Vikings Place Peterson On Exempt List, Barred From All Team Activities

The Minnesota Vikings have reversed course on Adrian Peterson, putting him on the NFL's exempt/commissioner's permission list until his child-abuse case is resolved, which bars him from all team activities, the team said in a news release early Wednesday morning.

"After giving the situation additional thought, we have decided this is the appropriate course of action for the organization and for Adrian," Vikings owners Zygi Wilf and Mark Wilf said in the statement. "We are always focused on trying to make the right decision as an organization.

"We embrace our role -- and the responsibilities that go with it -- as a leader in the community, as a business partner and as an organization that can build bridges with our fans and positively impact this great region. We appreciate and value the input we have received from our fans, our partners and the community."

Peterson's agent, Ben Dogra, told The Associated Press that "This is the best possible outcome given the circumstances."

"Adrian understands the gravity of the situation, and this enables him to take care of his personal situation. We fully support Adrian, and he looks forward to watching his teammates and coaches being successful during his absence."

Peterson also tweeted shortly after the announcement:

Peterson was indicted last week in Montgomery County, Texas, on a felony count of reckless or negligent injury to a child. The charge stems from a whipping incident that reportedly left bruises and wounds on much of his 4-year-old son.

The running back has said he was disciplining his son the same way his own father disciplined him while growing up in Texas and that he didn't intend to hurt him.
Peterson also was accused in 2013 in Texas of injuring another of his young sons, who has a different mother, although charges were never brought. Those allegations reportedly were filed to the state's Child Protective Services agency, according to Houston CBS affiliate KHOU.

Peterson had been deactivated for the Vikings' Week 2 game against the New England Patriots after the indictment was made public.

Minnesota then reinstated Peterson on Monday, citing concern for due process and the legal proceedings. The Vikings said they had further deliberations with the NFL on Monday and Tuesday, and informed the league they were revisiting the situation.

Executives were at the team's Winter Park headquarters late into the night Tuesday, discussing how to respond to the avalanche of criticism of their Monday announcement.
"While we were trying to make a balanced decision yesterday, after further reflection we have concluded that this resolution is best for the Vikings and for Adrian," the Vikings' statement said. "We want to be clear: we have a strong stance regarding the protection and welfare of children, and we want to be sure we get this right. At the same time we want to express our support for Adrian and acknowledge his seven-plus years of outstanding commitment to this organization and this community.

"Adrian emphasized his desire to avoid further distraction to his teammates and coaches while focusing on his current situation; this resolution accomplishes these objectives as well. We will support Adrian during this legal and personal process, but we firmly believe and realize this is the right decision. We hope that all of our fans can respect the process that we have gone through to reach this final decision."

Nicole Murphy Photographed On Vacation With Jim Jackson While Still Dating Michael Strahan

Sources close to the exes tell us … Nicole had gone to P.R. with some girlfriends, and just happened to run into Jim — an old friend — and even though they “hung out” … it was nothing serious.

We’re told Michael knew Nicole was taking the trip with her GFs, but was not aware anything went on with Jackson.

We’re told Nicole now says she and Michael were “on a break” when she hooked up with Jackson — but she did not feel the relationship was over.

Still … it’s interesting … she’s accusing Michael of cheating but she was clearly playing the field.

A Married Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Pictured With A Thot In His Crotch (Pics)

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who also happens to be married, was pictured in some pretty awkward positions with a few groupies. In the photos Jones can be seen with one girl’s face in his crotch area, squeezing another girl’s boobs and a lot more.

I guess the one good thing out of this is that the groupies aim high. That’s right sis, if you’re going to be a groupie, go for the owner! That’s V. Stiviano 101.

Read some more tea on the photos courtesy of Deadspin. The whole story sounds crazy and I wouldn’t even know where to begin with the copy/paste. All I can tell you is that it involves a man named Frank Hoover, who alleges that the photos were taken by people looking to set up Jerry Jones in an extortion plot. Yeah….weird.

NFL: Richard Sherman Shades Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson After He Gets 5-Yr, $70 Million Deal

Patrick Peterson took to his Twitter account to announce he and the Arizona Cardinals agreed to a mega five-year, $70 million contract extension with $48 million guaranteed. The deal will make Peterson the highest paid cornerback in the league, which of course made someone not too happy.

Everyone knows that Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman regards himself as the best corner in the league and now Peterson’s extension surpasses both his (four years, $56 million) and Cleveland Browns CB Joe Haden (five years, $68 million). Sherman took to his Twitter account to indirectly say how he feels about the deal.

RHOA's Porsha Williams & NFL Baller LeSean McCoy Dating? (Video)

Even though her marriage to Kordell Stewart went left, 33 year old Porsha Williams has allegedly snagged a new baller. Rumor has it Porsha is dating 26 year old Philadelphia Eagles player, LeSean McCoy.

While on Dish Nation, Porsha neither confirmed nor denies that she is seeing LeSean but when asked if a Philadelphia Eagle has ever seen her "end zone", it was apparent that she has clearly let the Baller get past First Down.

If LeSean McCoy's name sounds familiar, you may remember last year when he went to war with his baby mama on Twitter. You may also remember a woman suing McCoy after being humiliated on his party bus, in which McCoy adamantly denied ever touching her.

LeSean came with a little drama last year but hey, so did Porsha. This could work out for them. Watch the video below of Porsha sort-of-kinda admit to dating him.

NFL: Pam Oliver Demoted From NFL Sideline Reporter, Replaced With Erin Andrews

Pam Oliver, a mainstay on big NFL broadcasts for almost two decades, will be demoted this year and removed from her longtime role as sideline reporter next year.

SI.com’s Richard Deitsch had the news that Oliver will be replaced by another familiar face on Fox’s No. 1 NFL team: Erin Andrews. Andrews has been a huge star in the TV media field for a decade now, but it will still be strange to see Oliver getting phased out.
“I think it was predetermined coming in,” Oliver told SI.com. “Not at that meeting, but two years ago it was determined that no matter what I did or did not do, a change would be made for this year.”

Fox Sports’ spin to SI.com is that Oliver will be in a more expanded role, doing long-form pieces, major interviews and producing, mostly for Showtime’s “60 Minutes Sports.” It’s pretty easy to see through that. The sad fact is, as Oliver pointed out, even lasting 19 years in her role as a female sideline reporter is rare.

“But I live in the real world and I know that television tends to get younger and where women are concerned,” Oliver, who is 53, told SI.com. “Just turn on your TV. It’s everywhere. And I’m not saying these younger girls don’t deserve a chance. I know I’ve had my turn.”

Here's what it looks like when Pam gets blind-sided.

DeSean Jackson Claims He Was 'Bribed' By Mega Sports Agent Drew Rosenhaus

There's a lot of drama surrounding DeSean Jackson and most of  it involves how he left the Eagles to go to their divisional rival the Redskins. Then there's background drama surrounding his relationship with his former agent Drew Rosenhaus. And now Jackson's reportedly filed papers claiming Rosenhaus bribed him to sign on as a client.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus, left, talks with former Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson.
DeSean Jackson says his former agent Drew Rosenhaus violated NFL Player's Association rules by bribing him to sign with his agency back in 2009 with truckloads of cash and a Louis Vuitton bag ... this according to legal docs obtained by TMZ Sports.
Jackson filed new court papers in an effort to overturn an arbitrator's ruling that he owes Rosenhaus more than $500k for failing to repay loans.

In the docs, DeSean says he shouldn't have to pay Drew a dime because a huge chunk of the cash was given to him to induce DeSean to use D.R. in his next contract negotiation.

Why is that a big deal? Because according to DeSean, it's a huge violation of NFLPA rules -- for which the NFLPA punishment is that DeSean wouldn't have to repay a single cent.

Now for the cool part ... part of the money he received from Drew came IN CASH -- stuffed inside a Louis Vuitton bag he received just after midnight on Nov. 10, 2009.

No word if he kept the bag ... but c'mon, it's Louis.

We reached out to Rosenhaus -- he declined to comment.

Hold Up: 49s QB Colin Kaepernick Sexual Assault Investigation Is NOT Over

The Colin Kaepernick sexual assault investigation is NOT over yet … despite comments to the contrary from the 49ers QB and the Miami Chief of Police … multiple law enforcement officials tell TMZ Sports.

Earlier this week, Colin told a media outlet, “The District Attorney has the information today. At this point, I’m going to let them handle their business.”
The Miami Chief of Police Manuel Orosa backed him up … saying, “Our investigation has been presented to our Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office and we await their decision whether to prosecute or not.”
Problem is … it’s not true — at least, according to multiple officials directly involved in the investigation.

We spoke with Lt. Vince Laricci, the Commander of the Special Victims Unit at the Miami Police Department, who tells us, “The investigation is near closure, but it is NOT closed. The State Attorney’s Office does not have our report.”
TMZ Sports also spoke to a rep for the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney who told us investigators are still “waiting for scientific evidence” before kicking the case over to prosecutors.
As we first reported, the accuser met with cops at a hospital directly following the alleged incident at a Miami hotel on April 2nd … and a rape kit was administered, along with other medical tests.

For his part, Colin claims he did “nothing wrong” on the night of the incident.

NFL Baller Bryant McKinnie Ordered To Pay $150K For 4000 Unpaid Lap Dances

In 2012 Bryant McKinnie was the target of a lawsuit that contends the Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman owes $375,000 for services accumulated at South Florida strip clubs between February 2009 and September 2010.

Charles “Pop” Young, the father of rapper Trick Daddy, filed the lawsuit in Miami-Dade Circuit Court on Monday afternoon. Well, it looks like that lawsuit wasn’t too off because a new lawsuit claims the baller owes $150K for 4000 booty dances!

Turns out Bryant McKinnie‘s infamous $375,000 strip club bill wasn’t as “bogus” as he said it was; the 350-pound offensive tackle has finally agreed to pay for a massive chunk of the alleged debt, roughly 4,000 lap dances worth, aka $150,000.

According to new court documents, McKinnie recently struck a settlement agreement with Trick Daddy‘s father Charles “Pops” Young after Young sued McKinnie for $375,000 in 2012.

Young claimed McKinnie ran up the bill over a 20-month period at two of his strip clubs, including the Miami staple King of Diamonds. According to Young, McKinnie promised to pay the bill back in 2010, but never did.

Atlanta Falcons Star Roddy White’s Brother Shot And Killed

Tyrone Moore Jr., the half-brother of Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White, was shot and killed outside a nightclub in South Carolina early Saturday morning. Moore was 21 years old.

Jay Adams of AtlantaFalcons.com provides Falcons owner Arthur Blank’s statement on the matter:

We were all saddened to learn about the death of Roddy’s brother Tyrone. Roddy is part of our Falcons family, and families stand together in difficult circumstances. Roddy and his family can count on our support through this very trying time. On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family.

According to Charleston County Sheriff’s Maj. Eric Watson, via The Post and Courier’s David MacDougall, authorities reported to the Lake House Club on James Island at 2:51 a.m. Saturday after several gunshots were fired. Moore was taken to Medical University Hospital with a wound, but he was later pronounced dead.

MacDougall’s report notes that no arrests have yet been made.

According to MacDougall, the two brothers were raised together by their mother on James Island, where White was born, and Moore then lived with the Falcons star in Atlanta for “several years” while attending high school.

White is set to enter his 10th season in the NFL. After playing his entire NFL career with the Falcons, he’s become a staple of the organization. The tragic news has obviously shaken an Atlanta Falcons organization in which White has been such a huge part of over the past decade.

NFL: Greg Hardy Ordered to Hand Over 9 Guns Including Military Type Semi-Automatic Rifles

The domestic altercation with Carolina Panthers Greg Hardy and his girlfriend Nicole Holder continues to get more bizarre. Hardy was arrested after allegedly assaulting and threatening Holder. She claims Hardy was upset because of her short relationship with rapper Nelly while the two were separated. Hardy was soon released but was ordered to hand over his massive gun collection.

As part of the agreement that allowed Hardy to be freed from jail, Mecklenburg District Court Judge Becky Thorne Tin ordered the All-Pro lineman Thursday to turn over any weapons he owns or has access to.

A Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said a representative of Hardy handed over the firearms Friday morning, including at least six military-type, semi-automatic rifles and three 12-gauge shotguns. The transfer took place at a Sheriff’s Office building on North Tryon Street.

According to Holder, Hardy has between 25-30 firearms between his two Charlotte residences. Under North Carolina law, Hardy did not need a permit for these types of guns nor is there a limit on how many he can own.

NFL Baller Charged With Assaulting Girlfriend Over Alleged Relationship With Nelly

Veteran St. Louis rapper Nelly is reportedly caught in the midst of yet ANOTHER messy love triangle after North Carolina Panthers baller Greg Hardy was popped on assault charges following an argument that his girlfriend says was about her past “relationship” with Nelly.

Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of assault on a female and communicating threats after an incident with his girlfriend, identified as 24-year-old Nicole Holder, who alleges that Hardy threw her on a couch covered with firearms.
According to the Observer, Holder’s protective-order complaint states “that Hardy was angry with her because of a short-lived relationship with the rapper Nelly, who is a part-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. She stated in the court documents that she and Hardy had been trying to work things out and that she and Hardy were in bed together early Tuesday morning when Hardy ‘just snapped.’”
According to the judge, both Hardy and Holder were intoxicated at the time of the incident. Hardy’s attorney, Chris Fialko, maintains that his client is innocent and that Holder is responsible for the disturbance after she attacked Hardy and his friend, Sammy Curtis.

A 911 called obtained Wednesday by CBSSports.com has Hardy telling the operator that Holder was trying to hit him with her shoe and that she hit him in the face twice. But a second 911 call made from Hardy’s downstairs neighbor claimed that the Panthers’ defensive end was “beating (Holder’s) a**.”

The Panthers, who are set to pay Hardy $13.1 million next season, met with the defensive end and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, Wednesday to discuss his arrest, the Observer reports.

Keyshawn Johnson Arrested For Alleged Domestic Battery

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says former NFL and Southern California receiver Keyshawn Johnson has been arrested after a report of a domestic dispute.

A Sheriff's Department statement says deputies responded to a residence in Calabasas at 12:48 a.m. PT Monday and determined the resident and his ex-girlfriend were involved in a domestic dispute, and the resident was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery.
The department subsequently identified the resident as Johnson, who posted bond at 9:15 a.m. and was released.

In the NFL, Johnson played for the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers.

He's currently an ESPN commentator and analyst. ESPN says it's aware of the arrest and is looking into the matter.

A call to Johnson's agent was not immediately returned.
