New Report Says Jay Z And Solange’s Elevator Fight Was Reportedly Caused By Rihanna

Grammy-winning singer Rihanna has reportedly been pulled into the alleged marriage drama duo  Jay Z and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter have now found themselves in.

 

According to new reports, RiRi may have been the key to the now-infamous elevator fight between Jay and Bey’s sister Solange Knowles last spring.

Recent photos show that the “IV” tattooed on her ring finger — for her birthday, Jay’s birthday, and their wedding date — has been erased. The source says the elevator fight after the Met Ball was really over Jay’s protégé Rihanna, who he allegedly planned to meet later that night at his 40/40 club. “Solange was like, ‘Enough is enough — you must be [screwing] Rihanna,’” says the source. “To many people who know them, they know it’s not out of the realm of possibility.” (Page Six)

Reports also claim the Carters only spend time together for business-related matters.
Today, the source says, it’s not whether they’ll split, but how they’ll split — adding that the only time Jay and Beyoncé are really together is on stage. Let That Girl Cook! Jay Z Orders Rihanna To Work On Her Image With Help From Beyoncé

It’s being reported that Jay Z is so enamored with his superstar wife’s style and image that he’s urging his longtime protégé Rihanna to clean up her bad girl image by dressing and acting more like Queen Bey.

The rap mogul – who discovered the Barbados-born beauty nearly a decade ago — recently signed Rihanna to his Roc Nation record label.

Now, a music industry insider tells Dish Nation, “Jay is trying to shape a less ghetto, more elegant image for Rihanna. He wants her to ditch the sheer dresses” – like the nearly nude one she wore to the June 2nd CDFA Awards – “and the marijuana logos and references.

“Jay warned Rihanna that he runs a tight ship. He suggested she tone down her drinking, smoking and partying and go on juice cleanse to rid her body of toxins.”

“Jay also told Rihanna to curtail some of her more outrageous social media posts.”
Not so coincidentally, Rihanna quit Instagram last month.

But the Jigga Man pulled out the big gun when he asked Beyonce – whom Rihanna once referred to as “gorgeous, a stab to my self esteem” – to mentor the ‘Diamonds’ singer.
Says the source, “Beyonce is giving Rihanna tips on speaking more eloquently in interviews and she went through her wardrobe and tossed out some of the wilder stuff, like too-short denim daisy dukes and leather chaps.”

“Beyonce also suggested less garish wigs and makeup, and she’s pushing for a moratorium on Rihanna getting anymore tattoos.”

“Jay also banned Rihanna from any future communication with Chris Brown and he was a driving force behind Rihanna dumping Drake, because he’s dissed Jay in the past.”

Rihanna shined bright like a diamond Monday night at the annual CFDA Awards in New York. Amongst some of the biggest names in fashion, Ri Ri was honored with an Icon Award. Afterward, she celebrated backstage with some twerking. Below is footage and a transcript of her acceptance speech.

 



 

 

Growing up I didn’t have a lot of access to fashion. But as far as I could remember, fashion has always been my defense mechanism. Even as a child I remember thinking, “She can beat me, but she cannot beat my outfit.” [Laughter and cheers.] And to this day I mean, that is how I think about it. I can compensate for all my weaknesses with my fashion. And so really, you really can … I enjoy the most that you can tell so much about who someone is just by their style — the way they put fashion together. And I think fashion has been an outlet for me to express myself, to speak up, to say who I am and to be very loud about it at times, and I just like to have fun with it. Fashion is just a world of thrills, it’s exciting, there’s no rules, there’s just … I mean, SHE has tons of rules [gestures at Anna Wintour, audience laughs] … Scratch that! Scratch that! [More audience laughter.] There are RULES! But rules are meant to be broken. [Audience cheers and claps.]

I want to thank MAC for being so supportive and for keeping my face so cute. Rihanna Leaves Def Jam Recordings, Signs With Jay Z’s Roc Nation

Rihanna reportedly left Def Jam Recordings to sign as an artist to Jay Z’s Roc Nation imprint.

 

Jay Z signed Rihanna to Def Jam when he was the company’s president. Since then, he’s left to launch Roc Nation.

“Founded in 2008, Roc Nation is a full-service entertainment company, inclusive of artist, songwriter, producer and engineer management; music publishing; touring & merchandising; film & television; new business ventures; and a music label,” Roc Nation says. “It is home to a diverse roster comprised of critically acclaimed recording artists, writers and producers including Rihanna, Shakira, J. Cole, Rita Ora, Calvin Harris, NO ID, Timbaland, Santigold, DJ Mustard and more.”

Rihanna has been managed by Roc Nation and is now signed as an artist to the imprint, as well, according to Complex. The publication reports that Roc Nation has her listed as part of the roster, as noted above, and that Def Jam has her listed as a “legacy” act along with past Def Jam Recordings acts, including Slick Rick.

New Music: Drake “Days In The East” (Drizzy Talks Taking Rihanna Back From Chris Brown)

Last night, Drake released his second new jawn in as many days, this one entitled “Days In The East”. Not sure exactly why he chose such an obscure title for the track, but maybe “East” is a euphemism for Rihanna’s box? In any event, the song is sure to raise a few eyebrows as it focuses mainly on rekindling a past relationship and holding a nice SHADY umbrella over her former light-skinned lover with lines like:

"Couple other things I’d rather do than talk about that right now, told you bout givin’ him chances, on chances, on chances, he’s not holding you down, he’s holding you back right now".

Grammy-winning singer Rihanna is proving she’s worthy of some serious attention as reports claim one-time music rivals Chris Brown and Drake both have their eyes set on their former girlfriend.

 

According to reports, Chris Breezy has started to rekindle the flame with RiRi. R&B star Brown — who just completed a 90-day stint in anger management rehab — has been texting the “Diamonds” singer, and friends say they’re “freaking out” that Rihanna could rekindle a romance with Brown. At the same time, the sexy singer performed and partied with Drake in Paris, sparking rumors of a relationship. “Chris started texting Rihanna on her birthday [Feb. 20], and the two have been sending each other a flurry of texts ever since,” said a source close to the singers. Reports claim RiRi eventually responded to Chris Breezy’s texts and has kept in contact.

WINNING: Rihanna Bags $10M in Settlement Against Former Accountant

I can’t even imagine how salty Peter Gounis and the firm Berdon LLP must feel right now. While they’ve taken a major "L", Rihanna is rolling in the dough!

Rihanna's former accountant nearly drove her to bankruptcy after giving bad financial advice, and now the pop superstar is getting restitution in the form of $10 million. She sued accountant Peter Gounis and the firm Berdon LLP, claiming he gave her the go-ahead to buy a $7 million home, despite the fact she was bleeding cash at the time.

After being guided into buying the home and making other financial mistakes through her accountant, Rihanna was left with just $2 million at the end of 2009. Her lawyers claim that Gounis was aware that the home she bought was badly in need of repair, due to water and mold damage, leaving her to foot a $1 million bill to fix the place. She eventually sold the home at a $2 million loss, and later dropped the accountant, suing him for $35 million in 2012.

Berdon LLC has reportedly chose to settle for $10 million, and the papers are lined up to be signed this week.

Rihanna's financial situation has greatly improved over the years since dropping Gounis, with her net worth hovering around $43 million.

Rihanna Announced As The New Face Of Balmain (Pics)

Erykah Badu will be a part of Givenchy's Spring 2014 campaign and now Rihanna announced she is the new face of Balmain. Described as an "icon" by the label's creative director, Olivier Rousteing, the singer stars in the forthcoming spring/summer 2014 campaign - due to appear in magazines from January.

 

Rihanna's love affair with the fashion industry is apparent. The pop star is the executive producer of the fashion reality show "Styled to Rock," she designs a signature collection of threads for River Island, her Instagram feed is a virtual runway showing off her impressive collection of designer duds and jealousy-inducing adventures amongst fashion royalty.

And it's safe to say that fashion loves her back. Case in point, Rihanna has been tapped as the new face of Balmain.

 We're not completely shocked by the news -- Rihanna and Balmain's creative director, Olivier Rousteing, haven't been shy about their friendship and admiration for each other.
"When the woman that inspires you wears your creations, your vision feels complete," Rousteing told WWD.

The 27-year-old designer says working with RiRi was "a dream come true" and that the Barbadian beauty is uncompromising, fresh, modern and the "icon" of his generation.
"Rihanna embodies my vision of Balmain in this new campaign," Rousteing said. "In front of the camera, she makes you feel like she is the only girl in the world."
The campaign was shot in New York City last month by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. RiRi, who was styled by her personal stylist Mel Ottenberg for the project, looks like she's in a steam room where she's providing all the heat needed in two ensembles by the famed French fashion house. One ad shows the "Diamonds" singer dressed in a pink-and-white Kimono style coat accessorized with white lace gold-toed and heeled booties, while the other is an edgy off-the-shoulders denim-and-gold chain getup.

This marks the second music star to land a major spring 2014 fashion campaign, after Givenchy revealed that Erykah Badu would be fronting their new ads. Move over supermodels!

News that Rihanna arrived at V Live Gentlemen’s Club alone at around 2 a.m. and, half an hour later, Drake showed up and asked club security to move Rihanna over to his section. “I bet you want to be sitting with Drake, right?” Blaze said she overheard a security guard asking Rihanna, who smiled and said yes. And once they were together, they “looked like a couple,” sat very close to each other and were even dressed alike, Blaze recalled.
