Reports Examiner.com:
Contrary to what a gossip website is reporting, Kelly Rowland has been saying in recent interviews that she is not married. On Sept. 17, 2013, the gossip website Media Takeout, which has a long history of reporting stories that turn out to be false, published a story that Rowland and her boyfriend/manager Tim Weatherspoon secretly got married in February 2013. Although Rowland (who is 32) will not name her boyfriend in interviews, she has admitted that she is dating someone special and that she is not married, but that getting married is one of her goals in life.
Meanwhile, Rowland is on the cover of Shape magazine's October 2013 issue, which goes on sale on Sept. 19, 2013. In the accompanying interview, Rowland shared her diet secrets and fitness regime in maintaining her toned physique.
Rowland told Shape magazine: "I’ve come up with these variations on some of my favorites that give me the flavor I’m craving in a healthier way. When I want a steak, I grill some portobello mushrooms and put a little goat cheese on them. When I make fish tacos, rather than flour tortillas, I use butter lettuce leaves. And I’ve learned to satisfy my sweet tooth by replacing Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups with half a tablespoon of almond butter on half a banana.”
In interviews and in social media, Rowland often credits her trainer Jeanette Jenkins for helping her stay physically fit. They even did a fitness video together titled "Jeanette Jenkins: The Hollywood Trainer - Sexy Abs with Kelly Rowland."
As for Rowland's marital status, she says she is not married. The only "source" that says she is married is a gossip website with very questionable credibility.
Just to give an example of how unreliable a source Media Takeout is, in July 2013, the website claimed that Rowland was dating rapper Pusha T. Media Takeout, which can't even get its stories straight about Rowland's love life, now claims that the Pusha T boyfriend story was just a "smokescreen" to cover up Rowland's "secret marriage."
Media Takeout claims as "evidence" of the marriage that Rowland and Weatherspoon got matching tattoo rings instead of traditional rings. An unnamed source told the Media Takeout: "Kelly and Tim have been together for years, and decided to get married. Kelly wants to keep her sexy singer image alive, so she's keeping everything a secret. Most people didn't even know she had a boyfriend."
Actually, Rowland has been very open in telling the media that she has a boyfriend and that she loves him. She just won't say who he is when she is asked about him in interviews.
Rowland is a close friend to her former Destiny's Child band mate Beyoncé Knowles (who has been married to Jay-Z since 2008), so Rowland has seen firsthand how being married has not hurt Knowles' popularity or career. Rowland has been open about many things in her life that many female celebrities would not admit, including getting breast implants, having dysfunctional family problems, being in an abusive relationship with an ex-boyfriend, and having past jealousy of Knowles. So it doesn't seem to be in Rowland's character for her to lie to the public about something as major as being married.
Rowland rose to fame as a member of the singing group Destiny's Child, which first hit it big in the late 1990s. She was a judge on "The X Factor" U.K. for just one year (2011), when she replaced Dannii Minogue. Rowland has denied tabloid reports that she was fired from "The X Factor" U.K. because she asked for too much money. Rowland said that she left the show because she wanted to spend more time on recording her fourth solo album. She became a judge on "The X Factor" U.S. in 2013, when she replaced Britney Spears.
In an interview published in Essence magazine's September 2013 issue (which has Rowland on the cover), Rowland declined to name her boyfriend but she did talk about her wish to be a wife and mother someday: "I want to be in Miami chilling with a cute little tummy and wearing cute little dresses on the beach. And I want to be married. I do."
In a June 2013 interview on "The Wendy Williams Show," Rowland was asked what is going on in her love life.
Rowland laughed sheepishly as she said, "I am dating."
Wendy Williams asked, "Do you love him?"
Rowland answered, "I do. I do want to get married. I feel like I'm missing out!"
