During his appearance on ESPN’s Numbers Never Lie yesterday, Wayne was asked whether or not he’s allowed to attend Heat games, which is something that was an issue last year. And he revealed that he’s pretty sure he’s still banned from games at AmericanAirlines Arena. But he also broke down exactly why he doesn’t mess with the Heat like he used to.
According to Wayne, he was at a Heat game sometime within the last couple of years and asked Dwyane Wade, point blank, why he wasn’t getting a lot of love from Heat players during games.
“Y’all don’t #### with me?” he says he asked Wade.
And Wayne says that Wade, who was standing on the court at the time in the middle of a game, responded, “We don’t.”
From there, Wayne says he went off and said a bunch of not-so-nice things to Wade and other members of the Heat. “You’re not the real Birdman!” he says he yelled at Chris “Birdman” Andersen.
And that was that. It’s why he says he no longer cheers for Miami.
